Residents are invited to attend the “Secure and Fair Election Process: Every Vote Counted” event hosted by Dakota County Library Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Burnhaven Library in Burnsville. Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon will speak about protecting and strengthening the security and fairness of the elections process.
As secretary of state, Simon partners with township, city and county officials to organize elections on behalf of Minnesota's nearly 4 million eligible voters and ensures the election system is fair. Minnesota has consistently been a national leader in voter turnout, election reform and ballot integrity.
