Fire Engines are cool. Every kid loves them, and most adults do, too. They have so many intricate gadgets and life saving devices on them, how can you not be in awe? The history of the fire truck is a long one and the Minnesota Fire Engine Club, MNFEC, wants to preserve and share that history. One way they do so, is by hosting displays similar to the one most recently at the Hastings boat launch parking lot on Saturday, June 26th.

There were 18 privately owned fire trucks and support vehicles on hand to give visitors a water show as well as allow folks to see the trucks up close and personal. Volunteers plus the volunteer owners were on hand to answer any questions about their trucks and to help families tour their vehicles. The club was also there accepting donations to help offset operational expenses and to promote fire safety.

The club is about the general love of fire trucks and their preservation. To learn more about the club, visit mnfec.com and enjoy the pictures of the event!
