Mary L. Zweber, age 90 of Hastings, died peacefully on Wednesday evening, May 5, 2021, at Hastings Health and Rehabilitation ~ Augustana.
Mary LaDonna, the daughter of William and Clara (Nielsen) Ring, was born on June 3, 1930, in Minneapolis. Following her graduation from South High School in Minneapolis with the class of 1949, Mary was united in marriage to Claude Zweber on June 6, 1953. They were blessed with six children, nearly sixty-eight years of marriage, and many wonderful memories together. Mary was a dedicated wife and mother, who cherished time spent with family. Over the years, her husband’s career took the family to many towns across Minnesota and North Dakota, with Mary gracefully handling all the details. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and bowling with friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Claude; children, Claudia Zweber, Timothy Zweber, Aimee Zweber, Peter (Carol) Zweber, Susan (Larry) Schedenhelm, and Jennifer (Ryan) Mahar; grandchildren, Zachary, Zara, Zandra, Zoanne, Zena, Megan, Spencer, Travis, Andrew, Jayde, Jayme, Ethan, Kaitlyn, Cainan, and Kirsten; seven great grandchildren, and by many relatives and friends.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date, with interment following at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. We invite you to continue to watch for updated service times on the funeral home’s website.
