Marion Elizabeth Brown, 92, of Hastings, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on June 30, 2026.
Marion was born on April 9, 1934 in Farmington, Minnesota, to Wesley and Bertha Becker. She married the love of her life Dwight Brown in 1957 and together they shared 64 beautiful years of marriage.
In 1965, Marion and Dwight moved from Minneapolis to Hastings, where they raised their four children. Marion’s greatest joy was her family and she poured her heart into caring for them. She had a natural gift for caregiving and also cared for many children while working as an aide at Tilden School until her retirement.
Marion found joy in her garden and took great pride in caring for it. She loved walking, staying active, getting outside to enjoy beautiful weather. Marion will be remembered for her kind heart, quiet strength, hard work, and the love she gave so freely.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Brown; her parents; her brother, Warren Becker; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Becker; and her brother-in-law, Fred Demuth.
She is survived by her children, Gary Brown (wife Char), Rick Brown, Steve Brown (wife Roxie), and Sue Angell; grandchildren, Katie, Keith, Connor, Stacy, and Ashley; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved sister Norma Demuth.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
