The Hastings Raiders Marching Band travelled to Rosemount on September 16th to participate in the Rosemount Marching Band Festival. They competed against ten bands in Class A taking home the first-place trophy in their class.

The band members spend hundreds of hours learning, tweaking and perfecting their performance each year. This year, their performance is titled ‘Three Wishes”. The costumes and props are Aladdin themed and appear much simpler to utilize compared to last year’s amazing, state level performance. The band features over 70 performers, both musicians and color guards.

At Rosemount, aside from their first-place finish, they also took home awards for Outstanding Drum Major, Outstanding Wind Section and Outstanding Color Guard.

The band performed earlier in the week at the Thursday night football game, and they looked great. If you missed that opportunity to see them perform, you can catch them again at Todd Field on September 30 at 6:00 p.m.
