A local group of musicians hosted an annual fundraiser called "Live @ the Loft" and they just completed their 13th year of fundraising for the Hastings Public School Music Departments.  Each year a group of local musicians hold four Sunday Sessions open to the public and "pass the hat around" while different local musicians perform.

This year was their most successful season to date, raising just over $3,700, in part, with the generous donation of local artist Tom Schmitt, who donated several original paintings for auction.

This year’s primary recipient was the McAuliffe Elementary music dept with additional funds going to Pinecrest Elementary.
