Another sign of big things to come popped Monday night on the Hastings City Council unanimous consent agenda.
The council generally votes on resolutions for license approvals, donations and other routine business with a single vote. Included on the list was approval for a liquor license for The Confluence Hotel and its bar, Missi’s Sip & Savor.
The Confluence development is in its final stages and staff hiring is underway, and the final touches are happening in the hotel, City Community Development Director John Hinzman told members of the Hastings Economic Development and Redevelopment Authority at its June meeting.
The license allows The Confluence Hotel and Missi’s Sip & Savor, 200 2nd St. West, an on-sale and off-sale intoxicating liquor license.
Deputy City Clerk Emily King wrote to the council: “Mr. Patrick Regan, of Confluence Development LLC dba The Confluence Hotel and Missi’s Sip & Savor, 200 2nd Street West, submitted a liquor license application to be able to conduct On-Sale Sunday and Off- Sale Intoxicating Liquor sales at Confluence Development LLC dba The Confluence Hotel and Missi’s Sip & Savor. All applicable fees have been paid at this time.”
