On Saturday, Feb. 7, the Hastings Rivertown Lions Club will again host its 5th Annual “Super Breakfast” benefitting the Hastings Fire Department and First Responders.
Since this weekend is “Super,” there is no better way to thank our Super firefighters and first responders for making the Hastings area a better place to live and work. Funds from the Super Breakfast will supply safety vests to help prevent injuries.
In addition to the vests and safety equipment, additional exercise equipment is needed to enable our firefighters and first responders to stay in top shape as they prepare for their daily duties.
Serving in Hastings since 1968, the Hastings Rivertown Lions are proud of the volunteer services we provide through support of schools, bus transportation, summer activities, youth, the Carpenter Nature Center, the Veterans Home, park maintenance, as well as other community needs.
The all-you-care-to-eat breakfast will consist of French toast, scrambled eggs, ham, juice, fruit, coffee and milk. Weather and emergencies permitting, fire equipment will be on site for kids to explore.
The “Super Breakfast” returns to the Resurrection United Methodist Church located at 615 West 15th Street in Hastings. Food service will begin at 8 a.m. and runs until noon.
