Below are the upcoming programs and events scheduled at the Pleasant Hill Library. Please review the following COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines for library events and classes before attending.

For more information about library programs and events, visit https://www.co.dakota.mn.us/libraries/ Pages/default.aspx Introduction to Drop Spindle Spinning Tuesday, Oct. 12 6-8 p.m. (Registration opens Sept. 28) Get introduced to the hand spinning process and practice spinning your own yarn. Use wool roving as well as assorted other fibers as you learn to blend, draft, and spin your own mini-skein. Presented by Artistry. Registration required. Geared for adults.

Brodini Comedy Magic Show Thursday, Oct. 21 10-10:30 am (limited seating) Magician Brodini makes you laugh as he amazes you with his magic skills. Geared for ages 5 and older.

Making Pokémon Comics Thursday, Oct. 21 2-4 p.m. (registration opens Oct. 7) Learn basic comic techniques to craft your favorite Pokemon characters. Explore character drawing and painting, panel creation and storytelling as you create specific Pokemon characters, multiple-cell comics or a short comic book. Presented by Artistry. Registration required. Ages: 8-14.

Awesome Dinosaurs Friday, Oct. 22 • 11-11:45 a.m.

(registration opens Oct. 8) Learn where dinos lived, how they hatched, how big they were, what they ate and even how they may have sounded from science teacher Rob Ellos and his puppet assistant Chomper in this fun, interactive program. Ages: 3-6.

Ticket to Brasil Saturday, Oct. 23 1-2 p.m. (limited seating) Take an inspiring journey through the world of Brazilian music, traditional percussion playing and dance with Ticket to Brasil. Geared for adults Painting on Glass Monday, Oct. 25 6:30-8 p.m. (Registration opens Oct. 11) Create a work of art using centuries-old painting techniques on Plexiglas or other translucent material that sparkles in the light. Presented by ArtStart. Geared for ages 13 and older.

Tjärnblom Saturday, Nov. 6 2-3 p.m.

Hear acoustic traditional music from Sweden, Finland and Minnesota played on nyckelharpas, mandolins and a harmonium. Performed by Tjärnblom. Geared for adults.
