Just one person's opinion on the school board candidates. Half of the candidates are a bit more progressive in their
thinking and represent the views of maybe 20 percent of our community. The other half of the candidates are pretty
conservative in their views and reflect the ideas and ideals that represent their perspective and again, probably
reflect the wishes of another 20 percent of our community, but that leaves 60 percent of us somewhere in the middle!
I will pay close attention at the upcoming forum, but so far they have all managed to couch their thinking in such
word-speak and finger pointing that it is often hard to digest. Here's an idea; what if we elect two from each
perspective and see if they can manage to work together on behalf of our children and our community; not their
ideology.
