I think I am joined by a large number of Hastings residents in thanking John McLoone for the vision to create The Hastings Journal.
It really is a “local” paper and the list of new things I have learned about Hastings in the last few months is growing. I was excited to read about the progress of the former Hudson site and the fact that the Glass Company was just across the street. I had heard of the company and always wondered where it was located and how long they were in business. Maybe a “Glass Display” could be part of the new business?
I would also like to know more about Pokey and Gumby. I learned a few years ago they were a Hastings product and a family member lives here in town. I am sure there are a lot of other interesting facts waiting to be discovered.
