Please pick up after your dogs
We moved here a couple of years ago from the St. Paul area and looking forward to walking with our dog in our new city.
First tried the area along the river in front of the American Legion and the sidewalk edges were full of dog droppings, so gave that up.
Then heard about JP Adams park and loved the area and the walking paths, but there are dogs running loose along with the disc players and last week a lady walking ahead of us just let her dog do his thing and walked on.
I called the city parks department and she said there are no signs telling people to leash or pick up. People are supposed to use common sense. She also said they would increase patrols. Our police officers have more important things to do than watch inconsiderate people and their dogs.
How sad for us that love to walk and enjoy the beautiful area. Joanne Krueger
