Thank you Hastings

As the time has come for retiring as a building inspector and Building Official for the City of Hastings after 20+ years, I want to express my gratitude for the excellent support this city has given me. I have enjoyed working with the city employees, City Council (past and present), developers, contractors, engineers and architects, and community members.

Hastings is an amazing town with the proximity to the river, the charm of the town, the beauty, it’s unique history, and the amazing community.

I will never forget the friendships, fun times, and challenges that I experienced in Hastings. I will always cherish and hold close to my heart everything about Hastings, what working here has taught me personally, and the true sense of community that characterizes the town.

I am very fortunate and will be forever grateful to have received the opportunity to serve here. I will remember the community support I received and will always share my affinity for the City of Hastings with great pride and enthusiasm.

I hope during the years I worked here, the projects we had built from the ground up, additions, or remodeling done, that the building codes left the city with safer and more resilient structures.

While with great sadness I say goodbye, I am looking forward to my new ventures and adventures that await me and my families’ future. Hastings, thanks for everything, we will never forget!
