LaVonne Delois (Storrs) Fasbender age 98 passed away at the Birchwood Cottages in Owatoma, MN on Friday August 15, 2025. LaVonne grew up in Madison Wisconsin, where she married Lee Fassbender and raised five children.
Her first job after graduating from West High School was with the phone company. Throughout her life she worked there off and on eventually retiring from AT&T.
After her retirement she moved to Hastings, MN. She enjoyed her hostess job at the Steamboat Inn and The Green Mill. Weekends would often find her working at Carroll’s Antiques in downtown Hastings. At Christmas she was Mrs. Claus visiting all the business and handing out candy canes to visitors.
She enjoyed doing crafts playing poker with friends and she was active in her church and senior center.
She loved taking mystery trips with her daughters and granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents George and Mary, brother Robert Storrs and grandson Jacob Majeski.
She leaves behind her five children, Jamie (Steve) Vail, Craig (Annie) Fassbender, Keith (Mary) Fassbender, Georgi (Jeff) Majeski and Julie Fassbender.
Grandchildren Rebel Rozeboom, Laife Denning, Jonathan Majeski, Alanna, Chenere, Teyana, Christian and Ryan Fassbender.
Also, ten great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Celebration of Life October 4, 2025, at the Journey Church Office Building 105 West 23rd St. Hastings, MN. Visitation at 10 a.m. followed by the Celebration of Life at 11 a.m.
