Kevin O’Brien, 60, of Hastings, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Kevin was born on July 7, 1960 in St. Paul, MN, the son of Frank and Ivedell O’Brien. He attended school in Hastings and graduated from Hastings High School in 1977. A short time later, Kevin began traveling and working with Armstrong Shows, where he worked as a ride operator. Kevin also worked as a seasonal harvester for Green Giant. He is survived by three siblings, Kerry (Loren) Flom of Hastings, Kathleen (Gary) Fox of Hastings, and Michael (Lyn) Plaster of Eagan; sister-in-law, Ann O’Brien; nieces, Kelsey O’Brien and Zaria Maher; nephews, Kollin (Catie Winter) O’Brien, Kannon O’Brien, and Tony Maher; and many other friends. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings. Visitation: 4:30 – 8 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, Hastings, and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home on Thursday.
