Thursday was our JV Conference Finals meet. This meet is not scored. All eight swimmers that attended had at least one best time. They swam great! Swimmer of the meet was Liam Edel. Liam had four best times. He dropped almost five seconds in his events from the week before. Liam finished third in the 50 free and sixth in the 100 free. Extra shout outs to Garrett, Kenny, Sammy, Alex, and Cody. Garrett came along to fill relays so we could have more swims for our JV team. He also got two section cut times in his individual events. Kenny dropped over three seconds in his 50 free, Sammy broke the 30 second mark in the 50 free, Alex won the 200 individual medley, and Cody dropped another three seconds in the 100 fly.
Saturday was our annual Hastings Diving Invite. Both divers medaled, finishing in the top eight. Charlie Jensen finished fifth and Thomas Foss finished seventh. Diver of the meet was Thomas Foss.
From Coach Briana, 'Thomas kept a positive attitude even when things were not going as he wanted them to. Thomas was friendly with his opponents and worked hard until the very end.'
The Raiders next competition will be the section meet held February 22-24th at the Blue Water Aquatic Center in Apple Valley, MN
