The Hastings organization Building Remembrance for Reconciliation (BR4R) is hosting “Juneteenth, A Freedom Celebration” Saturday, June 17 at the Art Space River Lofts, 121 Tyler Street, Hastings, MN

“Juneteenth, A Freedom Celebration” will include:

• Comic Book Launch: Hate Stings, a graphic novella based on historical events, will be available for purchase. Author, James Curry; Artist, Tom Nyguen; and Letterer/Editor, Keith Champagne will be signing copies.    
• Free Superhero Sketches by Marvel Artist Tom Nyguen
• Hip Hop music and dance lessons by House of Dance Twin Cities
• Soul Food by Chef James Turk (Turkey Leg Man) will be available for purchase
• Traditional Games for all age groups  

The event is free and open to the public.
