Judith Ann Breckner of Prior Lake, Minn and Paradise Valley, AZ passed away peacefully on Jan. 20, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born on Aug. 4, 1937 in Lacrosse, Wisconsin; she was the oldest child of Darrell and Alvina Claflin. When Judy was an infant her parents moved to Hastings, Minn, where she spent the rest of her childhood. As a girl Judy was an avid figure skater and horse rider. She and her siblings regularly trained dogs and ponies and held an amateur circus in Hastings. Judy met her future husband Ronald Breckner while they were kindergarteners together in Hastings. They went on to become High School sweethearts and married in 1958. The two spent 62 years together and raised four children: Jane, Paul, Bill, and Bob. They were only parted when Ron died in 2020.Before her marriage Judy trained as a dental hygienist at the University of Minnesota. In young adulthood Judy was a stay-at-home mother and moved frequently around the country while Ron worked as a salesman for IBM. The two returned to Minnesota where Judy helped Ron found Data Sales Company, a computer leasing company, in 1973. Data Sales initially operated out of Ron and Judy’s basement of their house in Burnsville with Ron and Judy as the only employees. The company grew and thrives today, now being run by Ron and Judy’s children.After a new branch of the company was opened in Arizona, Judy split her time between Prior Lake and Paradise Valley, AZ. Judy especially enjoyed music, and played piano, which was her lifelong passion. Judy also enjoyed tennis, golfing, and spending time with her grandchildren.Judy was a kind and gracious person and will be sorely missed by those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald and son William Breckner. She is survived by her children, Jane Pederson, Paul (Sue) Breckner, and Bob (Betsy) Breckner, daughter-in-law Jill Breckner, grandchildren MaryJane Pederson, Grant Pederson, Karl (Maisy Glick) Pederson, Jack (Jamie) Breckner, Nick (Katie) Breckner, Ross (Emily) Breckner, Lily (Scott) Hendrickson, Kevin Breckner, Marie (Peyton) Sorrows, Natalie Breckner, Amy Breckner, many great-grandchildren, sister Virginia (Tom) Trutna, brother Jim (Jean) Claflin.Visitation – Thursday, January 30 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. White Funeral Home,12804 Nicollet Ave. Burnsville Memorial Service – Friday, Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. St. James Lutheran, 3650 Williams Dr, Burnsville, MN
