Last week, it was reported that Superintended Robert McDowell had hoped to officially announce soon that students would be able to return to class in the middle of February in some capacity. Monday, it was announced officially.

Good evening Raider families, I am happy to announce our plan to bring secondary students into hybrid learning beginning February 16th. The plan includes February 10th and 11th as non-instructional/ transition days for staff to prepare for returning to the hybrid learning model. On Tuesday, February 16th, middle school students in grades 6-8 and high school students in grades 9 and 12 should plan to resume the hybrid learning model. Students in grades 10 and 11 should plan to return to the hybrid learning model on March 1st. Please note that we continue to watch our numbers daily, and there is always the chance, based on numbers, our local situation, and Regional Support Team information, that we would need to postpone this return. More specific information will be coming to families from each of the secondary buildings. If you have questions, please reach out directly to your student’s building.

Robert McDowell, Ed.D.
