Howard joins Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board

Burnsville resident represents the private sector

The Dakota County Board of Commissioners appointed Andrew Howard of Burnsville to the Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board. Howard will represent the private sector. His appointment was effective Feb. 6.
Howard has more than 30 years in the airline and manufacturing industries. As operational commodity manager and senior enterprise procurement manager at General Dynamics in Minneapolis, he leads a team overseeing multiple manufacturing sites throughout the United States.
Howard obtained his bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and he is a certified purchasing manager. He volunteers as a member of the Knights of Columbus and as a lector at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Eagan.
The Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board oversees employment and training programs in Dakota and Scott counties. It is a state leader in developing innovative programs administered through CareerForce locations in Burnsville, Shakopee and West St. Paul.
