Holly Leigh (Holty) Caroon, age 53, of San Antonio, TX, passed away suddenly on February 24, 2024. She was born on August 6, 1970, in Albert Lea, MN, to Jerry and Linda Holty. In 1976, the family moved to Hastings, MN. After she graduated from Hastings High School in 1988, Holly enlisted in the MN Air National Guard. In 1995, Holly transferred to the CT Air National Guard in East Granby, CT. While at the CT ANG, she met and married the love of her life, Jeff Caroon. In 2008, the Caroon family moved back to MN. Holly finished her 30-year military career with the MN Air National Guard and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant in 2018. After her retirement, the Caroon family relocated to San Antonio, TX. Holly cared for and traveled with Jeff and the Air Force Wounded Warriors. They traveled together doing what they loved most, spending time together and making memories. Holly was known for her kind heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and passion for life. Holly touched so many lives with her warmth, generosity, and infectious laughter. She loved her country, her friends, and most of all, her family. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her.

Holly is survived by her devoted husband Jeff, daughters Savannah (fiance Chris) and Madison (friend Erik); her parents Jerry and Linda Holty, North Port, FL; brother Daryn (Tina) Holty, Rockford, MN; and Apryl (Jim) Wagner, Hastings, MN; mother-in-law Karen Hayes, San Antonio, TX; Father-in-law Scott Caroon, Suffield, CT; Sister-in-law Allison Jensen, San Antonio, TX; Brother-in-law Kevin (Deanna) Caroon, Midlothian, TX along with numerous nieces, nephews and a multitude of beloved relatives and friends.

Holly’s life will be celebrated at the Hastings Golf Club & Events on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. A military service will be held at 4 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial donations to the CJ3 Foundation (https://cj3foundation.org), a nonprofit organization that supports Military Service Members, Veterans / Disabled Veterans, Law Enforcement, Fire, and Emergency / First Responders.
