The Highway 316 project continues to advance closer into town now that the rework of the drainage is complete. Currently, crews are working on the largest section of the project between Malcom Ave and 31st Street (near the Armory). That means access to places like Burger King, Coborn’s, Vermillion Bank and Speedway is only open from Highway 61.
This phase also means the residents of the Tuttle Drive area are now forced again to use CR91 as their detour into town. As with all detours, please stick to the approved detours and abide by all posted signs, including speed limits.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation reminds you to stay clear of construction zones for everyone’s safety. Additional traffic in these areas increases the opportunity for accidents and injuries. These things are not only unfortunate for those involved, but they can also cause severe delays to projects.
