October 3 At 2:17 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Vermillion St. After investigation the driver, Mariana M. Mendez, female age 35 of Minneapolis was arrested for an active warrant.

A report of a burglary was taken in the 700 block of 7th St. W. at 9:21 a.m.

A credit card fraud report was taken in the 2900 block of Riverwood Dr.

At 10:45 a.m., officers received an after-the-fact theft report from the 400 block of Spiral Blvd. There were no suspects at the time.

Officers responded to a report of a male blocking cars at the intersection of Hwy. 55 and Westview Dr. Chad S. Johnson, 34 of Hastings was arrested for disorderly conduct.

At 5:58 p.m., theft was reported in the 200 block of 2nd St. E. The case is under investigation.

At 10:00 p.m., a traffic stop was initiated in the area of Ravenna Trail near Glendale Rd. The driver, Tomasa Martinez of Minneapolis was taken into custody for 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance.

October 4

At 3:20 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of 2nd St. E.

Officers responded to a theft report at 4:08 p.m. in the 2400 block of Southview Court. An unknown suspect stole a phone charger and owner’s manual from a vehicle.

October 5

At 2:23 p.m., an officer responded to a theft report in the 1700 block of Market Blvd. The case is under investigation.

October 6

At 1:30 p.m., officers investigated a licensing matter in the 1200 block of Vermillion St. This matter was documented for informational purposes.

At 1:50 p.m., officers investigated a licensing matter in the 1600 block of Vermillion St.

An identity theft report was filed at 1:54 p.m. in the 600 block of 8th St. W.

Officers investigated a suspicious incident at 4:59 p.m. in the 800 block of 17th St. W.

At 6:27 p.m., a theft report was received from the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. An iPhone 13 was stolen after an individual forgot it in a store. The case is under investigation.

At 10:27 p.m., a damage to property report was received after a mailbox was damaged in the 1600 block of Highland Dr. The case is under investigation.

At 11:31 p.m., officers stopped out with a group of juveniles who were throwing toilet paper at a residence in the 1400 block of O’Connell Dr. The juveniles were identified, and the homeowner had no concerns about the incident. The juveniles were warned for curfew and disposed of toilet paper.

October 7

At 9:32 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Vermillion St. regarding a past-action theft. An unknown subject stole license registration from a vehicle.

At 4:36 p.m., officers responded to the area of 31st St. W. and Cty. Rd. 47 for a damage to property report. Officers are investigating.

October 8

At 2:34 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of 18th St. W. for a drunkenness call. Officers mediated and provided assistance to the individual.

At 6:54 p.m., officers assisted the Cottage Grove Police Department with locating an individual. Officers located the individual in the 200 block of 33rd St. W. Officers took the individual into custody. The individual was released to the custody of the CGPD.

Officers responded to the 200 block of General Sieben Dr. regarding a report of assault at 8:45 p.m.

October 9

A traffic stop was conducted at 2:26 a.m. in the 2600 block of Vermillion St. After investigation, one juvenile passenger was cited for alcohol consumption by a person under 21.

At 10:19 a.m., an assault was investigated in the 200 block of 4th St. E. No assault occurred.

At 11:05 p.m., an officer located a male with a warrant in the 1600 block of Vermillion St. Jayson Williams, 41 of Red Wing was arrested for a felony Washington County warrant for check forgery.

October 10

•At 9:06 a.m., an officer documented harassing behavior involving juveniles at the high school.

•Officers responded to the 3400 block of Vermillion St. for a report of damage to property.

•At 10:19 a.m., officers investigated a disturbance on Lock and Dam Road, resulting in an adult male being trespassed from the city property.

•A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle at 6:35 p.m. at the intersection of 10th St. and Ramsey St. The driver, Kevin Gordon of Bayfield was issued a citation for expired registration. A passenger, Kimberly Castro of River Falls was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

•At 10:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to an assault call in the 1200 block of 3rd St. E. The incident is under investigation.

October 11

•At 2:08 a.m., an officer issued a citation to Troy A. Cann for trespassing in the 400 block of Lock and Dam Rd.

•At 10:34 a.m., a damage to property report was taken in the 100 block of 2nd St. W.

•A possible fraud case was investigated at 7:56 p.m. in the 100 block of 4th St. W.

October 12

•At 1:47 a.m., a damage to property call was taken in the 500 block of Tiffany Dr. The incident is under investigation.

•After being called to a reported fight in the 1000 block of 11th St. W., officers documented an incident that happened five days prior.

•At 8:31 a.m., officers investigated a dog bite incident in the 300 block of Frederick Circle. Officers continue to investigate the incident.

•At 10:50 a.m., officers responded to the 1800 block of Eddy St. regarding a past-action burglary after an unknown person stole about $9,000 worth of property.

•Officers were notified of a theft at 11:19 a.m. that occurred in the 3100 block of Village Trail.

•An identity theft was reported at 1:14 p.m. that occurred in the 1300 block of Madison St. A report was filed.

•At 3:49 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of General Sieben Dr. regarding a report of an assault. Two individuals were cited for misdemeanor assault in the 5th degree.

October 13

•At 9:59 a.m., an officer assisted with a harassment issue in the 1300 block of N. Frontage Rd.

•At 11:34 a.m., officers responded to a damage to property report in the 900 block of 31st St. W. The case is under investigation.

•At 11:37 p.m., officers located Joseph F. Schmidt, 25 of Hastings in the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. Schmidt was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant.

October 14

•Officers were advised of two individuals being trespassed from a property in the 300 block of 2nd St. E. at 3:13 p.m.

•Officers responded to the 1100 block of Vermillion St. regarding a past-action damage to property incident at 3:23 p.m. An unknown subject caused about $750 in damages.

•Officers located Asa A. Soine, 30 of Hastings, in the 700 block of 12th St. W. Soine was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant.

October 15

•At 3:28 a.m., a traffic stop was conducted in the 600 block of 10th St. E. After investigation, Shelby C. Duffert-Patraw, 29 of Wisconsin was arrested for misdemeanor false name to police, a felony Dakota County warrant for 1st Degree Drug Sales and a misdemeanor Ramsey County warrant for false name to police/obstruction/no seatbelt.

•An officer investigated attempted fraud at 12:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Whispering Lane.

•At 1:45 p.m., officers investigated potential transaction card fraud in the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd.

Accident Reports

October 7

•At 11:37 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of N. Frontage Rd. and General Sieben Dr. for a two-vehicle accident. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

October 8

•At 2:59 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Maple St. and 15th St. for a two-vehicle crash. No injuries were reported. Katelynn M. Alvarado, 26 of Hastings was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.

October 10

•At 12:13 p.m., officers responded to a reported two-vehicle accident at the intersection of General Sieben Dr. and Market Blvd.

•A two-vehicle crash was reported at 4:59 p.m. at the intersection of 18th St. and Maple St. Three individuals reported injuries and no citations were issued.

•Officers were dispatched to the intersection of General Sieben Dr. and 160th St. at 5:30 p.m. after a hit-and-run crash was reported. The case is under investigation.

October 14

•At 10:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Vermillion St. and 10th St. involving three vehicles. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

•At 4:32 p.m., a two-vehicle accident was reported on 25th St. near Vermillion St.

October 14

•At 10:47 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the intersection of Vermillion St. and 10th St. for a crash involving three vehicles. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

•At 4:32 p.m., a two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of 25th St. and Vermillion St.

October 17

•A vehicle versus deer crash was reported at the intersection of Glendale Rd. and Ravenna Trail at 5:42 a.m.

October 18

•At 9:26 a.m., an officer responded to the intersection of 14th St. W. and Pine St. for an accident involving two vehicles.

Diane M. Fox, 73 of Hastings was cited for starting a stopped vehicle before movement was safe. No injuries were reported.

•An after-the-fact damage to property report was taken at 12:32 p.m. in the 100 block of 3rd St. E. It is unknown where the incident occurred and there were no suspects at the time.

October 19

•At 1:44 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident at the intersection of Vermillion St. and 15th St. Upon investigation, Michal Rodriguez, 29 of Hastings was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

October 20

•Officers responded to an accident involving one vehicle at 7:35 a.m. in the 1200 block of Vermillion St. The driver was warned for driving without due care. No injuries were reported.

•At 11:50 p.m., officers responded to the 3400 block of Vermillion St. for a two-vehicle accident in a parking lot. The incident is under investigation.

October 23

•At 2:53 p.m., a two-vehicle accident was reported in the 800 block of 10th St. E.
