October 5th

2:20 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Vermillion Street. After investigations, Julie Ann Deloye (46) of West St. Paul was issued a misdemeanor citation for driving after revocation.

5:20 a.m. Hastings Police issued Nicholas Schultz, age 34, of Champlin, a citation for an on-street 24 hour parking violation.

6:57 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of 2nd Street East for a theft. The incident is under investigation.

October 6th

6:09 a.m. Officer conducted a death investigation.

9:00 a.m. Officers were notified of a campaign sign stolen from a yard in the 400 block of Tiffany Drive.

1:33 p.m. Hastings officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Bahl’s Dr. on a past action theft report. It was reported a package had been taken.

2:41 p.m. Officers were sent to the 3100 block of Vermillion Street for a motor vehicle theft. Officers filed a report.

6:06 p.m. Officers responded to an assault near the 500 block of 11th Street W. The incident is under investigation.

10:57 p.m. Hastings police took a theft report in the 3300 block of Leroy Ave. Under investigation.

October 7th

2:00 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 3rd St. Officers investigated the traffic stop and cited Dawn R. Klein, (60) of Eagan, for driving after revocation.

10:40 a.m. Citizen online report of theft.

2:39 p.m. Officers were notified of a theft in the 700 block of 14th Street West.

3:04 p.m. Hastings officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Oak St. for a warrant call.

9:50 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of 2nd St. E. in regards to an after the fact theft. The case is under investigation.

11:55 p.m. Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 2800 block of Red Wing Boulevard. After investigations, Dylan Joesph Hogan (27) of Hastings was arrested for 3rd degree DWI.

October 8th

7:42 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on 1700 block of the South Frontage Road regarding a medical.

8:10 a.m. Officers investigated a past action theft from the 1300 block of Frontage Rd. South, An unknown suspect stole about $8.00 in property.

9:05 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Nininger Road regarding a burn complaint. After further investigation, Elizabeth Anne Salema , 37 of Hastings, Cody Randall Brown, 28 of Hastings, and Kenneth Edsel Mead, 21 of Hastings, were issued citations for various misdemeanor level offenses.

1:14 p.m. An officer attempted to stop a vehicle driven by a person who did not have a valid license. The driver, Caleb Perry, 19 of Hastings, will be charged by formal complaint for fleeing in a motor vehicle, speeding, careless-driving, driving-after-revocation, and a stop light violation.

3:40 p.m. Officers responded to the police department regarding found keys, a set of keys were located in the 100 block of 2nd Street W. the keys were later entered into evidence for safekeeping.

10:20 p.m. Hastings officers responded to a two vehicle accident. No injuries reported and no citations issued.

October 9th

10:07 a.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of General Sieben Drive regarding a report of a hit & run that occurred on 10/07/2020. No suspects at this time.

11:43 a.m. A Hastings officer was made aware of a suspicious circumstance on the 100 block of 4th Street East. Information only.

12:34 p.m. Officers responded to a past action theft in the 1600 block of Walnut St. An unknown subject took $40.00 in property.

12:50 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of 23rd St. W. regarding a theft of a motor vehicle. The incident is under investigation.

12:57 p.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of Ramsey Street regarding a juvenile complaint.

1:05 p.m. Officers took a found property report in the 400 block of Bohlken Dr. The item was placed into evidence.

2:00 p.m. Officers responded to the Hastings Police Department regarding found property. The items were later entered into evidence for safekeeping.

5:20 p.m. Officers investigated an incident in the 600 block of 3rd St. W.

6:36 p.m. Officer took a missing person report at the 200 block of 31st St E. the case is under investigation.

8:17p.m. Officers received a found property complaint in the 1700 block of North Frontage Road. The incident was documented and the property was secured at the Hastings Police Department.

9:37 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of 37th Street West for a suspicious vehicle. Officer investigated the situation, and were unable to get into contact with the registered owner. James Hernandez 44 of Minneapolis, was cited for parking on a public roadway for 24 hours. 10:44 p.m. Officer assisted Dakota County Sheriffs Deputy in a vehicle pursuit.

October 10th

3:30 a.m. Offices conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Red Wing Boulevard and 33rd Street West. After investigation, Michael Cody Krieglmeier, age 32 of St. Paul, was cited for no proof of insurance.

3:54 p.m. Hastings Police Department Officers responded to the area of Saint Crois Trail and Point Douglas Drive regarding a two motorcycle accident for mutual aid. The patients were both transported.

5:13 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection on General Sieben Dr and South Frontage Road for a two vehicle accident.

10:44 p.m. Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at 36th Street E and Kendell Drive. The driver, Aaron Zuniga 25 of Hastings, was taken into custody for fourth degree driving while impaired.

11:00 p.m. Officer stopped a vehicle in the 1200 block of Vermillion Street. After investigating, a juvenile was issued a citation for driving without a drivers license.

October 11th

10:30 a.m. Hastings officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Ashland St. on a follow up. Barbara Jean Swanson, 64, Hastings, was cited for failure to display current registration and restricted days/hours of parking.

10:43 a.m. Officers responded to a medical in the 1600 block of Bailey Street, Officers assisted Hastings medics on scene and while there, located a person with a misdemeanor sign and release warrant. The warrant was taken care of, and the person was released from the scene.

3:59 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of 7th Street and Vermillion Street. After further investigation, Matthew Isaac Carter, 23 of Hastings, was issued a citation for misdemeanor- driving after suspension and allowed to wait for a valid driver as the vehicle was legally parked.

5:42 p.m. Officers responded to the area of 10th Street West and Vermillion Street for a driving complaint. Officer later located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at the 1100 block of Vermillion Street. The driver, William Chevre 23 of St. Paul, was taken into custody for 5th degree possession of a controlled substance and driving after revocation.

6:11 p.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of Tiffany Drive for a suspicious person and abandoned property. The individual was later located and reunited with their property.

6:54 p.m. Officers received a past action burglary report in the 2600 block of Commerce Drive. The incident is under investigation.

Accident Reports

October 8th 10:20 p.m. Hastings officers responded to a two vehicle accident. No injuries reported and no citations issued.

October 9th 10:07 a.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of General Sieben Drive regarding a report of a hit & run that occurred on 10/07/2020. No suspects at this time.

October 10th 5:17 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection on General Sieben Dr and South Frontage Road for a two vehicle accident.

October 12th 9:20 p.m. Officer was dispatch to 232 Tiffany Drive for a motor vehicle collision without injuries. No citations issued.

October 13th 10:57 a.m. Officers were sent to Nininger Road and 1st Street West for a motor vehicle accident.

October 18th 6:54 p.m. Officers responded to 18th St. and Ravenna Trail for a car vs deer collision. No reported injuries or severe damage was done.
