July 5 8:57 a.m.

A vehicle was observed to be in violation of the 24-hour parking ordinance. Craig Schaffer, 52 of Hampton, was cited for the violation and the vehicle was towed.

12:33 p.m.

A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 3100 block of Cannon St.

5:48 p.m.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Ramsey St. and 10th St. E. The incident is under investigation.

7:07 p.m.

A warrant check was conducted in the 200 block of 4th St. E. After investigation, Shawn G. Dobyne-Jones, 23 of Hastings, was arrested for an active Dakota County felony warrant, 3rd Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Small Amounts of Marijuana and Fleeing a Peace Officer on Foot.

8:18 p.m.

Officers responded to a suspicious activity complaint in the 1900 block of Oak St. Unknown suspects threw eggs on a person’s driveway.

8:52 p.m.

Officers received a theft report in the 1000 block of Sibley St. There was no suspect information at the time.

9:35 p.m.

Officers responded to a welfare check in the 1500 block of Vermillion St.

July 6 5:21 a.m.

Officers responded to a vehicle theft report in the 1900 block of Forest St. The case is under investigation.

6:33 a.m.

An incident was mediated in the 100 block of 23rd St. W. One subject was trespassed from the property.

7:44 a.m.

Officers were called to the 1600 block of Vermillion St. for a reported theft of a motor vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered, and suspect identification was made. The incident is under investigation.

8:33 a.m.

A harassment complaint was taken in the 800 block of Lyn Way.

10:51 a.m.

A sign was reportedly damaged in the 1200 block of 18th St. W.

10:12 p.m.

Warrant service was attempted while following up on an unrelated call in the 100 block of 23rd St. W. Caleb C. Perry, 20 of Hastings, was arrested for active Dakota and Martin County warrants.

11:01 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1600 block of Highland Dr. on a report of fireworks set off in a mailbox. There was no damage, and the incident was documented.

July 7 1:04 a.m.

A traffic stop was initiated at the intersection of Vermillion St. and 9th St. The driver, Dannie Christian, 51 of St. Paul, was cited for Driving After Revocation. The passenger, Wade Christian, 30 of Anoka, was taken into custody for a Washington County warrant.

2:59 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 23rd St. W. and Vermillion St. After investigation, Sirena M. Lenz, 41 of Newport, was arrested for an active misdemeanor Washington County warrant.

3:33 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Hwy. 61 and Spiral View Loop. After investigation, Jorge I. Pelais, 41, was arrested for 5th Degree Drug Possession, Driving Without a License and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

11:09 a.m.

An officer responded to a parking complaint in the 900 block of 2nd St. W. The incident was documented for informational purposes. 12:17 p.m.

Fraudulent activity was investigated in the 100 block of 4th St. E. The matter is under investigation.

12:58 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of lost dentures in the 100 block of 3rd St. E.

1:13 p.m.

A fraud incident that originated in the 2000 block of Nininger Rd. was investigated. An unknown person obtained $250.00 in goods.

7:08 p.m.

A fraud report was received in the 800 block of Bahls Dr. Unknown suspects used the victim’s debit card in an attempt to obtain cryptocurrency.

8:58 p.m.

Officers investigated a burglary call near the 800 block of 18th St. W.

9:11 p.m.

An animal complaint was received in the 2500 block of Millard Ave. The incident was documented.

July 8 6:32 a.m.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of Vermillion St. for a report of an intoxicated male. Enzo D. McNamara, 18 of Hastings, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

8:16 a.m.

Officers received an after the fact theft report in the 600 block of. 14th St. W. There are no suspects.

9:36 a.m.

Officers took a $700.00 damage to property report from the 1300 block of S. Frontage Rd. There was no suspect information.

2:49 p.m.

A welfare check was performed in the 900 block of 1st St.

7:30 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of Vermillion St. for a car vs. building accident. After investigation, officers found little to no damage happened to the building. The vehicle was disabled.

7:54 p.m.

An animal bite was reported in the area of Veteran’s Memorial Levee Park. Officers met with a juvenile with a possible minor injury to their arm, which did not require medical attention at the time. The owner was notified of the bite and the dog was quarantined at home.

July 10 1:24 a.m.

Officers responded to a fire call in the 400 block of Lock and Dam Rd. While investigating the fire, a dead body was discovered in the fire. The investigation is ongoing.

7:53 a.m.

A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 900 block of Nininger Rd.

10:43 a.m.

A theft report was taken from the 2500 block of Millard Ave.

10:58 a.m.

A report of damage to a vehicle was taken in the 300 block of 33rd St. W.

5:43 p.m.

A welfare check was requested in the 300 block of 14th St. W. The incident is under investigation.

8:19 p.m.

An officer responded to the 2300 block of Vermillion St. to document a suspicious person call. The reporting party was given a suspicious letter from the mentioned party. No crime elements were reported at this time.

11:00 p.m.

An officer conducted a motorist assist near the intersection of 8th St. W. and Ashland St. After investigation, the driver, Erika Fairs, 39 of Wykoff, was arrested for gross misdemeanor Driving While Impaired.
