January 18th 1:52 a.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop at the 1600 block of Vermillion St. The driver Tyler Gibson, 30 of Hastings, was cited for driving after revocation.

1:26 p.m. Officers assisted another agency with an investigation.

4:07 p.m. Officers observed a vehicle with expired registration tabs in the area of Vermillion St. and Redwing BLVD. A stop was initiated and the driver Holly Marie Ruiz, 40 of Hastings, was cited for expired registration.

4:23 p.m. Officer took a theft of trailer report in the 800 block of 10th St. Trailer was stolen sometime in the last two weeks. No suspects.

6:30 p.m. Officer was dispatched to an accident near the intersection of Greystone Rd. and Timber View Drive. No injuries and no citations issued.

10:06 p.m. Officers responded to the area of the 3500 block of Cannon Street for a single vehicle accident. During the course of the investigation the driver Troy Miller, 49 of Hastings, was taken into custody for third degree driving while intoxicated.

January 19th 10:00 a.m. Officer took a damage to property report in the 2200 block of Cannon St. A unknown suspect spray painted “503” on the back side of the listed building. Approximately $250.00 in damage.

1:45 p.m. Officers were sent to the 1000 block of Vermillion Street for an after the fact fraud/counterfeiting report. Officers are investigating.

2:14 p.m. An officer entered found property into HPD evidence.

2:35 p.m. Officers observed a vehicle with expired registration tabs in the area of 4th St. W. and Vermillion St. Officers initiated a traffic stop and te driver Michael William Allington, 35 of Hastings, was cited and released for expired registration.

3:00 p.m. Officers responded to an accident involving two vehicles. No injuries reported. No citations issued.

3:11 p.m. Officers were notified of a suspicious circumstance.

3:45 p.m. Officers responded to the 1700 block of Westview Drive for a patient having a medical emergency. Officers arrived and assisted EMS personnel. The patient was transported to the hospital. Unknown what caused the patients medical issues.

4:26 p.m. Officer assisted with a civil matter in the 300 block of Whispering Lane.

6:11 p.m. An officer took an identify theft report near the 1100 block of Woodland.

9:49 p.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at the 2200 block of Vermillion Street. The driver Christopher Hood, 35 of St. Paul, was cited for speeding and driving after suspension.

January 20th 1:09 a.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at Vermillion Street and 15th Street W. The driver Jett Allison, 20 of Red Wing, was cited for driving after revocation and no proof of insurance.

2:30 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Ravenna Trail and Glendale Road. After investigation Treena Marie Ramirez, 42 of Saint Paul, was cited for driving after revocation.

2:47 a.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Vermillion Street and 18th Street W. The driver Jared Blatz, of Hastings, was cited for driving after revocation and no proof of insurance.

10:09 a.m. Officers took a civil matter call in the 100 block of Sieben Crest Lane.

12:50 p.m. Officers investigated a licensure issue from the Hastings Dog Park. No citations were issued.

1:51 p.m. Officers were called to Three River Drive for a suspicious circumstances call. Inactive.

5:40 p.m. Officers responded to the 1900 block for a missing person report. Officer investigated the situation. The individual was located.

6:21 p.m. Officers responded to a theft in the 200 block of 33rd Street West. After investigation Mary Katherine Yarbough, 59 of Cannon Falls, was cited and released for misdemeanor theft.

6:22 p.m. Officers responded to the 800 block of General Sieben for a burglary call.

7:27 p.m. Officers responded to a hit and run accident near the intersection of 18th Street East and Vermillion Street. There is no know suspect information at this time. The incident was documented by officers on the scene.

8:46 p.m. An officer responded to the 700 block of Sibley street for a suspicion call. Officers investigated the situation.

January 21st 2:26 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Ravenna Trail and Glendale Road. After investigation, one male will be charged via formal complaint for gross misdemeanor no proof of insurance and misdemeanor driving after revocation.

3:18 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Red Wing BLVD and Michael Ave. Monica Charlotte Mgeni, 29 of Saint Paul, was arrested for a warrant.

3:31 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 61 and Spiral View Loop. After investigation Tashyierra Monique Allen, 29 of Maplewood, was cited for driving after revocation and no proof of insurance.

9:51 a.m. Hastings Officers responded to the 300 block of Tuttle Dr. on a after the fact attempted fraud. No money loss.

1:23 p.m. Hastings Officers responded to the 400 block of Vermillion St. on a civil issue regarding payment for services rendered.

11:35 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Ravenna Trail and Gendale Road. The driver David Biener, 38 of Finlayson, was arrested for giving peace officer false name and a felony warrant out of Dakota County. The passenger Loni Yarborough, 38 of St. Paul, was arrested for 5th degree drug possession and a gross misdemeanor warrant out of Dakota County.

January 22nd 7:48 a.m. Officer took a counterfeit money report.

10:58 a.m. Officer took a property damage report from the 400 block of Vermillion St. No suspects.

2:30 p.m. I (OFC. Bukkila #1429) was sent to the area of 2200 Vermillion St. for a two vehicle crash where one vehicle did not stop.

8:41 p.m. Hastings Officers were requested by the South St. Paul Police Department to assist with a traffic stop located at the intersection of Concord St. and Armour Ave in their city. Hastings Officers utilized their K9 to sniff the vehicle.

9:03 p.m. Officers responded to the 2100 block of Vermillion St. for a suspicion call. After investigation Alonzo Obsy, 49 of Minneapolis, was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Dakota County. Thomas Robert Kleven, 52 of Minnetonka, was arrested for misdemeanor 5th degree assault.

January 23rd 2:24 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the 2100 block of Vermillion Street. The driver Curtis Lee Mitchell Jr., 22 of Red Wing, was arrested for possessing a firearm without a permit and possessing over 1.4 grams of marijuana in a motor vehicle. The passenger Kelton Seron Goings, 22 of Red Wing, was cited for possessing a small amount of marijuana.

1:00 p.m. Officers responded to Cub Foods regarding a suspicion call. Dispatch advised employees had chased a mal and female out of the store that had attempted to steal a cart full of groceries. All products were recovered by employees.

6:00 p.m. Officer was dispatched to the intersection of 13th St. and Oak St. in regards to an accident with no injuries. A plow truck had hit a parked vehicle. It was snowing and dark outside. No citation issued.

8:30 p.m. City of Hastings declared a snow emergency. Officers issued 49 citations to vehicles that were violating the snow emergency.

January 24th 12:35 p.m. Hastings Police began a past action theft investigation in the 300 block of 33rd St. W. Under investigation.

4:39 p.m. Officer took a dog bite report.

8:21 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Vermillion St. in regards to a theft report. This case is under investigation.

9:09 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the 2100 block of Vermillion Street. The driver Scott Thomas Schroetter, 57 of Oakdale, was cited for driving after revocation.

11:03 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Ravenna Trail and Glendale Road. The driver of the vehicle Chelsey Ann Halterman, 28 of St. Paul Park, was cited for driving after revocation.
