February 15th 2:35 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of North Frontage Road for a disorderly individual who was pounding on the doors of a closed business, alarming employees who were working inside. Earlier officers dealt with the same individual when someone called in a welfare check. Upon arrival the individual was confrontational with officers and refused to identify themselves, thus hindering a police investigation into the disorderly conduct violation. Officers informed the individual they were being detained and the individual began physically resisting officers. The individual was informed they were under arrest and they continued to actively resist officers. At one point the individual kicked an officer in the shin. Terrence A. Hipkins, 22 of Red Wing, was arrested for 4th degree assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and obstructing a police officer.
6:20 a.m. Officers responded to the 2600 block of Woodcliffe Trail for an after the fact burglary report. Suspects have not been identified.
4:46 p.m. An officer gathered information involving a civil matter between parties. After investigating it was found the subject took the owners vehicle with permission but has yet to return it after four days.
9:04 p.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of 14th St. W. for a disturbance. After investigation officers determined the matter was a disturbance over property and was a civil issue.
11:10 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near 36th Street and Cannon Street. The vehicle was searched and Lukas Dale Umbreit, 25 of Hastings, was arrested for felony drug charges.
February 16th 8:20 a.m. An officer responded to document a civil report between a previously married couple. No crime was committed at this time and the reporting party just wanted the information the officer gathered to be documented.
10:25 a.m. Officers took a theft by swindle report at the Hastings Police Department.
1:14 p.m. Officers assisted medics with a medical.
February 17th 7:29 a.m. Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Frontage Rd to document a burglary that occurred in the earlier morning hours. During the investigation it was found that two unknown suspects used a tool to enter the building and take approximately $43,000 worth of cash and merchandise.
10:10 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 10th Street E. and Sibley Street. The Driver Deandre Marcel Smith, 35 of Burnsville, will be charged via formal complaint for gross misdemeanor intent to escape tax and petty misdemeanor speeding.
2:56 p.m. An officer documented a theft over the phone that occurred on the 3200 block of Glendale Rd. An unknown suspect took a package from their property. The loss is $700.19.
3:59 p.m. Officers took a damage to property report near the 300 block of 1st Street E.
10:50 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the 2400 block of Vermillion St. after investigating the traffic stop, an adult male is to be charged via formal complaint for possession of drugs, driving after suspension, and no proof of insurance.
February 18th 8:03 a.m. Officers investigated a past action theft from the 300 block of Frederick Circle. An unknown subject obtained about $50.00 in property.
8:41 p.m. Officers investigated a Minnesota Adult Abuse Report in the 200 block of 4th Street East.
February 19th 2:50 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Ravenna Trail and Glendale Road. After investigation Tou Yang, 49 of Saint Paul, was cited for driving after revocation and no proof of insurance.
9:50 a.m. An officer began an investigation in the 1900 block of Forest St. regarding a habitual barking dog.
8:29 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 55 and Westview Drive. The incident was documented.
11:16 p.m. Officers responded to assist Dakota County with a fire related call in the 10000 block of 160th Street East.
February 20th 7:26 a.m. Officers were called to the 800 block of South Park Drive for a motor vehicle theft. The vehicle was entered into NCIC. Under investigation.
11:10 a.m. Officers were called to the Three Rivers Mobile Home Park for a found dog. The dog was taken to River Bluff Humane Society.
6:32 p.m. Officers conducted a warrant check in the 500 block of Ramsey Street. Christine Kerri Kelley, 57 of Hastings, was arrested for her active warrants.
6:51 p.m. An officer investigated a suspicious vehicle call at the 500 block of Ramsey Street. This case was forward to the prosecution for charging considerations.
February 21st 1:52 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of 10th Street East. After investigation, one adult female will be charged by formal complaint for gross misdemeanor no proof of insurance and driving after revocation.
4:04 a.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at Highway 55 and Ashland Street. The driver Khin Than, 27 pf St. Paul, was taken into custody for 4th degree driving while impaired.
9:48 a.m. Officers were notified pf a theft from motor vehicle in the 2700 block of Rushmore Road.
10:47 a.m. Officers investigated a theft in the 1500 block of River Shore Dr. An unknown suspect obtained about $290.00 in property.
3:42 p.m. Officers were notified of a damage to property and theft of items form the 300 block of 6th Street West.
4:04 p.m. Officers were notified of a damage to vehicle, theft, and tampering with a motor vehicle in the area of 31st Street East and Amelia Ave.
4:41 p.m. Officers investigated a past action theft in the 800 block of 4th St. W. An unknown suspect obtained property and caused damage costing about $1000.00.
Accident Report February 18th 6:24 a.m. Officers responded to a crash in the 1900 block of Louis Ln. After investigating Steven Gerald Denn, 44 of Roberts WI, was issued a citation for driving after revocation and no insurance.
February 19th 11:32 a.m. Officers took a property damage accident report in the 1200 block of Vermillion St. The accident resulted in minor damage to both vehicles February 25th 5:51 p.m. Officers responded to a vehicle crash near the 1600 block of South Frontage Road. The vehicle was unoccupied and towed from the scene.
February 26th 7:56 p.m. Officers investigated a past action hit and run vehicle accident In the 1100 block of Bahls Drive. No suspect information.
