Hastings Police Report

February 22nd 1:03 a.m. Officer conducted a traffic stop near the 1300 block of Spring Street. Scott Allan Leinum, 57 of Hastings, was cited for driving after cancelation, failure to carry proof of insurance, and failure to display current registration.

2:37 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Spring and HWY 55. Mary Jane Mountain, 33 of Ramsey, was cited for failure to carry proof of insurance and expired registration.

2:51 a.m. Officers responded to the 400 block of 17th Street West for a crisis mental health call. Officers were able to mediate the situation and provide resources.

6:15 a.m. Officer took a theft from vehicle report.

9:02 a.m. An officer observed a vehicle with expired registration tabs traveling eastbound in the area of Ravenna TRL/Progress Drive. The officer initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Taylor Rodriguezraiffe Scott who had a revoked driver’s license status. The driver Taylor Rodriguezraiffe Scott , 28 of St. Paul, was cited and released for driving after revocation.

2:21 p.m. Hastings officers responded to the 1500 block of Rivershore Dr. on a damage to property report. Damaged was a tonneau cover.

6:30 p.m. Officers took a report regarding a vehicle that was not returned to the owner. The case is under investigation and there is one suspect.

6:46 p.m. Officers took a fraud near the 800 block of 11th Street W. The incident is under investigation and there are no suspects.

February 23rd 7:54 a.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop in the area of Ravenna TRL/18th St. for expired tabs. During the investigation the driver of the vehicle identified as Shannon Patrick Sullivan, 54 of St. Paul, was booked for a couple of Scott County misdemeanor warrants and cited for driving after revocation.

9:47 a.m. Officers assist HFD with a medical.

1:59 p.m. Officer took a drug information report.

February 24th 1:10 a.m. Officers located a suspicious vehicle on the 200 block of 33rd St. W. Officers investigated the call and arrested Nicole A. Gans, 28 of Hastings, for receiving stolen property and Victoria L. Robinson, 46 of Fridley, for 5th degree drugs.

8:51 a.m. Hastings Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of 36th Street West on a civil matter which began in May of 2018.

10:55 a.m. An officer took a tampering with a motor vehicle report over the phone that occurred on the 800 block of South Park Dr. A non-winning scratch off ticket was taken from the vehicle. No monetary loss and no suspects known at this time.

11:34 a.m. Hastings officers responded to the 1400 block of Blueberry Lane on a unemployment scam. There was no monetary loss.

11:45 a.m. Hastings Police initiated a traffic stop on Spiral BLVD near Millard. The driver was cited for displaying expired motor vehicle registration.

3:13 p.m. An officer responded to the 1300 block of Ramsey St. to pick up a found dog. The dog was united to the owner.

8:56 p.m. Officers responded to the 1700 block of S. Frontage Rd. for a theft report. There are no known suspects at this time.

9:02 p.m. Officers responded to Meggan Drive for a medical call. Officers took a report of a dog bite.

February 25th 3:00 p.m. Officers received an after the fact suspicion call. There are no suspects.

7:06 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 15th St. Officers investigated the call and cited Joseph R. Lee, 20 of Goodhue, for driving after revocation.

8:10 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of Three Rivers Dr. for a check he welfare of a female passed out on a deck. After investigation a female was transported to the hospital.

8:22 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Vermillion St. in regards to a theft. This case is under investigation.

8:47 p.m. Officers took a past action burglary report near the 1100 block of 5th Street W. The incident is under investigation.

February 26th 1:03 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Yellowstone Drive in regards to a suspicious vehicle. Officers investigated the call arrested Michael P. Lind, 28 of Randolph, for 5th degree drugs.

11:11 a.m. Officers took a welfare check call in the 600 block of Pleasant Dr. HPD transported a female to Regions.

2:20 p.m. Officers assisted another law enforcement agency in executing a search warrant on the 1300 block of 18th St. W. Officers recovered stolen property. The incident is under investigation.

4:48 p.m. A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 1000 block of Maple St. It was impounded by Southeast Towing.

7:52 p.m. Officers responded to the 1700 block of North Frontage Road for a theft. The suspect Tania Weinke, 53 of Hastings, was cited for shoplifting.

11:14 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance call near the 1400 block of Whispering Ct. February 27th 7:23 a.m. Officers responded to the 1700 block of Market BLVD for a theft report. A store employee reported his wallet was taken. Under investigation.

3:04 p.m. Officers received a complaint of two suspicious men wearing face masks going through a vehicle in a parking lot. Upon arrival officers identified that a registered owner had a revoked license and was one of the males. While investigating who was driving one of the men began fleeing from the scene despite being told he was not free to leave. John Moeller, 29 of Red Wing, was caught after a short foot pursuit. He was booked for misdemeanor-fleeing on foot, a body-only warrant from the MN Department of Corrections, and a misdemeanor warrant out of Pepin County, Wisconsin.

6:48 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Westview Drive and HWY 55. Eric Hanson, 35 of Hastings, was cited for failure to carry proof of insurance.

7:32 p.m. Officers responded to the 1300 block of North Frontage Road for a disturbance. The situation was mediated.

8:58 p.m. Officers with Hastings Police responded to assist with an accident near Ravenna Trail and 200th St. E.

10:48 p.m. Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at 21st Street West and Eddy Street. Joseph Schmidt, 23 of Hastings, was cited for expired registration.

February 28th 1:22 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Spiral View Loop and HWY 61. Shannon Patrick Sullivan, 54 of St. Paul, was arrested for 5th degree drugs, driving after revocation, failure to carry proof of insurance, and expired tabs.

2:32 a.m. Officers investigated a past action theft in the 100 block of 23rd Street West. Approximately $400.00 in value taken. This matter is under investigation.

9:27 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on the 1100 block of Bahls Drive regarding a medical.

12:05 p.m. Officers were called to the 900 block of Vermillion St. for a theft in progress call. Someone attempted to take a motor vehicle. Inactive.

4:01 p.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of 35th Street West for a damage to vehicle report.

5:40 p.m. Officers investigated a death in the 500 block of 8th Street West. This matter is under investigation.

Accident Report February 25th 5:51 p.m. Officers responded to a vehicle crash near the 1600 block of South Frontage Road. The vehicle was unoccupied and towed from the scene.

February 26th 7:46 p.m. Officers investigated a past action hit and run vehicle accident in the 1100 block of Bahls Drive. No suspect information.

February 27th 11:51 a.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of 4th St. E. in regard to a damage to a vehicle. After investigating it appeared as if the damage was unintentional.

March 2nd 5:28 a.m. Officers responded to the area of Red Wing BLVD and Spiral BLVD for a motor vehicle accident. Sara Majetich, 41 of Hastings, was cited for unlawful passing. Louis McNamara, 36 of Hastings, was cited for expired registration and following a vehicle too closely.

1:35 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Red Wing BLVD and 33rd St. in regard to a two vehicle crash. No injuries reported and one citation was issued to Jodi Lynn Storlie, 50 of Hastings, for failure to yield.
