March 1st 2:32 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Pine Street and 15th St. W. Jerred Dohmen, 45 of Hastings, was cited for failure to carry proof of insurance and improper registration.

5:34 a.m. Officers responded to the 1200 block of Sibley for a welfare check.

9:17 a.m. Assist medics.

March 2nd 2:12 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Spiral View Loop and HWY 61. Danielle Marie Wrobleski, 33 of Jordan, was arrested for gross misdemeanor tax evasion, possession of stolen property, and failure to transfer title.

5:28 a.m. Officers responded to the area of Red Wing Blvd and Spiral Blvd for a motor vehicle accident. Sara Majetich of Hastings was cited for unlawful passing. Louis McNamara of Hastings was cited for expired registration and following a vehicle too closely.

11:11 a.m. A traffic stop in the 200 block of 33rd St. W. resulted in Brandon Dean Evans, 37 of Red Wing, being arrested for 3rd degree DUI and open bottle.

11:49 a.m. An officer observed a vehicle with expired registration tabs traveling eastbound in the area of 4th St. and Pine St. The officer initiated a traffic stop and was able to confirm the vehicles registration was expired. The driver Michael William Kostick, 30 of Hastings, was cited and released for expired registration.

12:11 p.m. Officer took a theft from the 1700 block of Market Blvd. No suspects, inactive.

1:10 p.m. An officer responded to the 10 block of Monroe St. to retrieve a found dog. The dog was found to have a chip and was reunited with it’s owner. 3:22 p.m. Citizen online report received regarding theft of a package from doorstep.

3:39 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Red Wing Blvd. and 33rd St. in regard to a two vehicle crash. No injuries reported and one citation was issued to Jodi Lynn Storlie, 50 of Hastings, for failure to yield.

5:36 p.m. Hastings police received a report from the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center. The matter was investigated and documented.

March 3rd 8:38 a.m. An officer responded to the 500 block of Westview Dr. to document a theft that had occurred. Under investigation.

8:57 a.m. An officer responded to the 500 block of Westview Dr. to document multiple mail theft reports. While documenting these thefts it was found that the suspect damaged one of the mail boxes. Estimated cost is $150. Under investigation.

11:26 a.m. An officer was dispatch to catch a chicken in the parking lot of the Dakota County Court House. Officer rescued the chicken and was taken in by a nearby farm until and if the owners are found.

11:33 a.m. Officer took a fraud report which involved a foreign scam using gift cards where the total loss was $1000. There are no suspects currently.

11:38 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a found dog near the intersection of 17th St. W. and Walnut St. The dog was eventually transported to River Bluff Animal Shelter after no one claimed the animal.

5:36 p.m. Officers assisted medics with a medical.

March 4th 1:51 p.m. Officers responded to the 3100 block of Vermillion St. on a report of a recovered stolen trailer out of Tennessee. Officers assisted in the recovery process and released the trailer to the owner.

6:59 p.m. Officers responded to the 1200 block of 18th St. E. for a civil assist. Under investigation.

10:05 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the 1000 block of Vermillion Street. Shannon Wolke, was arrested for felony 5th degree drug possession and a warrant.

March 5th 12:05 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Vermillion and 18th Street. Jesse Ryan Fricke, 33 of Blaine, was found to be impaired and arrested for DWI.

1:02 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Commerce Drive after a business owner indicated someone had entered their gated lot and possibly the building structure, in order to attempt to steal items from parked vehicles. Officers responded and were unable to locate the suspect. Some evidence was collected however there are no current suspects.

2:11 p.m. An officer took a fraud report involving someone using the reporting party’s information to obtain unemployment benefits. There is no loss of money and there are no suspects.

2:47 p.m. Hastings Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Vermillion St. on a suspicious activity report.

4:44 p.m. Hastings Officers responded to the 700 block of Pine St. for a suspicious act. An individual had their name used by someone to obtain unemployment benefits. No current loss at this time and no suspects.

5:18 p.m. An officer documents a breach of trust between the reporting party and a friend. The reporting parties friend had permission to use the reporting parties vehicle but has not returned it. Alert put on the vehicle.

9:56 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near Pleasant Drive and Nininger Road. Linda May Hanson, 62 of Fairmont, was found to be impaired and arrested for DWI.

March 6th 5:11 a.m. Officers responded to the 2200 block of Cannon Street for a noise complaint. Noah Michael McPherson, 41 of Hastings, was cited for disorderly conduct.

11:35 a.m. Officers were notified of a missing person/ check welfare in the 1100 block of Bahls Drive. Officers are investigating.

5:44 p.m. An officer assisted Dakota County Deputies on a traffic stop at Highway 55 and General Sieben Drive.

6:14 p.m. Officers were flagged down at Vermillion Street near 6th Street East. James Buckhanan, 36 of St. Paul, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

7:55 p.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at Pine Street near 4th Street West. The driver Austin Miller, 19 of Hastings, was cited for possession of marijuana.

8:21 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 2nd Street East and Washington Street. After investigations Paul Rainey Hagen, 74 of Hastings, was issued a misdemeanor citation for expired registration.

10:05 p.m. Officers responded to check an address near the 200 block of 4th St. E. for a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered.

10:47 p.m. Officers responded to Greten Court and Century Lane to assist Dakota County Deputies on a traffic stop.

11:40 p.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop at Pine St. and 9th St. W. A juvenile was issued a citation.

March 7th 9:12 a.m. Officers were called to the 400 block of 17th St. E. for a vandalism report. A vehicle had graffiti painted on it.

9:45 a.m. Officers responded to the back of the Hastings Police Dept. on a report of someone following them in another car.

6:42 p.m. Officers completed a warrant check in the 1000 block of 5th Street West. Kyle David Hamilton, 30 of Hastings, was arrested for his active warrant.

8:33 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of HWY 61 and Spiral View Loop. Dori Rene Lagred Thell, 56 of North St. Paul, was arrested for DWI.

10:14 p.m. Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 10th Street and Progress Drive. After investigation the driver of the vehicle, Zakariya Abdinasir Abdile, 23 of St. Paul, was cited for no proof of insurance.
