Hastings Police Report

April 5 9:45 a.m.

A potential insurance fraud case that occurred in the 1100 block of Nininger Rd. was documented. 11:00 a.m.

A black airsoft gun was reported found in the 1300 block of 18th St. E.

4:39 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of Maple St. to remove an unwanted individual from the property. The individual was gone on arrival when the officer arrived.

10:32 p.m.

Officers observed a vehicle displaying a stolen license plate near the intersection of 10th St. and Bailey St. The vehicle fled but was later located in Goodhue County. Hastings officers were requested to the location to assist with a K9 track.

April 6 2:00 p.m.

An officer responded to the intersection of Prairie St. and 4th St. to document a motor vehicle accident. No citations were issued, and no injuries were reported. 3:26 p.m.

A past action report where an employee allegedly accessed private data via a computer database was taken in the 1200 block of N. Frontage Rd. The case is under investigation.

10:54 p.m.

Officers responded to the 600 block of Westview Dr. for a disturbance call. The situation was mediated. April 7 4:04 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 10th St. E. and Ramsey St. The driver, Candi Chapman, 35 of Wyoming, MN, was cited for expired motor vehicle registration. 6:56 a.m.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Tiffany Dr. for a past action theft report. An unknown subject stole about $305 worth of property. 8:02 a.m.

Officers investigated a fraud that occurred in the 300 block of Ramsey St. Au unknown subject was able to obtain about $1,000. 8:42 a.m.

Officers were called to the 200 block of 33rd St. W. for an assault report. Officers investigated but found there to be a lack of evidence for criminal charges. 8:56 a.m.

Officers met with an individual in the 1500 block of N. Frontage Rd. who wanted to report that somebody had accessed the funds in his bank account using his debit card number. A juvenile and Keven Forrest, 21 of Maplewood, were charged with Felony – Theft and Felony – Identity Theft.

11:16 a.m.

Officers received a report of a past action property damage accident of a car vs. a stop sign and fire hydrant on the prior evening at the intersection of 10th St. and Bailey St. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

12:13 p.m.

An officer responded to the parking lot in the 100 block of 3rd St. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued. 4:16 p.m.

A tow behind camper trailer was impounded from the 3400 block of LeRoy Ave. 9:33 p.m.

A traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of 25th St. W. near Vermillion St. April 8 10:32 a.m.

Information was received regarding past attempted theft from vehicles. After investigating, Sara R. Oldag, 37 of Hastings, was issued a citation for tampering with a motor vehicle.

11:16 a.m.

Officers recovered a stolen vehicle in the 2200 block of Cannon St. that was reported stolen in Cottage Grove on April 7th.

11:50 a.m.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of Ramsey St. on a report of a found bike. The bike was placed into storage.

1:52 p.m.

Officers responded to the 300 block of 33rd St. W. regarding a vehicle that was taken without permission.

2:16 p.m.

Officers were sent to the 200 block of General Sieben Dr. for a motor vehicle accident. Officers assisted by exchanging information.

4:15 p.m.

Officers responded to the area of Village Tr. and Vista Dr. for a traffic violation. Officers investigated but did not file any charges.

5:55 p.m.

Officers conducted a warrant check near the 1100 block of Bahls Dr. Gunner L. Supper, 18 of Hastings, was arrested for a warrant.

7:16 p.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the 500 block of Westview Dr. Dylan M. Perry, 21 of Hastings, was cited for driving after suspension, failure to carry proof of insurance and expired registration.

11:09 p.m.

Following a report of a vehicle parked across the lane blocking traffic, officers responded near the intersection of 15th St. and O’Connell Dr. Officers made contact with the driver, who was found to be impaired. Nicolas B. Lorentz, 19 of Hastings, was arrested for Driving under the Influence.

April 9 9:00 a.m.

A motor vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of S. Frontage Rd. and Pleasant Dr. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

3:23 p.m.

Officers reported the theft of a license plate in the 1000 block of Lyn Way and recovered a stolen license plate from a Dakota County report.

3:31 p.m.

A vehicle was stopped in the 800 block of 10th St. E. Juli Hart, 57 of St. Paul, was issued a citation for driving without a valid license.

4:21 p.m.

Officers assisted another agency with an investigation in the 3000 block of Millard Ave.

April 10 2:27 a.m.

A traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of Ravenna Tr. and Glendale Rd. The driver, Jonathan Jefferson, 37 of St. Paul, was cited for driving after revocation. Officers also learned he had a warrant. Jefferson was taken into custody for the warrant. The passenger, Nathan Richardson, 42 of St. Paul, was cited for Possession of Marijuana.

4:01 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 10th St. E. Marshall J. Johnson, 31 of Fridley, was cited for driving after revocation.

5:05 a.m.

Officers responded to the 2300 block of Cannon St. to assist deputies from Dakota County with a suspicion call.

1:52 p.m.

Officers responded to a city park in the 600 block of 19th St. W. after a report was received that an adult male reportedly slapped a juvenile on the side of the head. No injuries were reported, and the adult male was not located. 3:37 p.m.

Officers were flagged down by a man near the intersection of 17th St. and Vermillion St. who was trying to prevent an intoxicated male from attacking him. Ira Hoffman, 41 of St. Cloud, was cited for Disorderly Conduct and was transported to the Dakota County Jail after he refusing to comply with officer’s directions.

6:42 p.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 3rd St. and Vermillion St. Christopher C. Reynolds, 50 of Prescott, was cited for expired registration.

8:45 p.m.

A warrant check was conducted in the 200 block of 7th St. E. After investigating, Spencer K. Ritt, 30 of Hastings, was arrested for his active warrant, Felony Fugitive from Justice, Gross Misdemeanor 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Hypodermic Needles and Petty Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

9:45 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. for a reported theft in progress. Jonathan Long of White Bear Lake was cited for theft.

April 11 2:58 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 9th St. E. After investigating, Eli Yang, 40 of Maplewood, was arrested for an active warrant out of Ramsey County. Chue Vue. 66 of St. Paul, was arrested for an active warrant out of Scott County.

9:31 a.m.

A suspicious activity report was documented in the 2300 block of Rushmore Rd.

1:19 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 3000 block of Lightbourn Ct. 2:15 p.m. Officers responded to an after the fact animal complaint in the 1400 block of Truax Circle. The situation was mediated.
