Officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 700 block of 10th St. E. An employee had been terminated and the employer requested standby.

9:34 a.m.

Officers responded to a damage to property report in the 100 block of Glenlou Way. There are no suspects.

9:36 a.m.

A past-action suspicion report was taken that was believed to have occurred on Meggan Dr. The incident is under investigation.

11:07 a.m.

A vehicle theft report was taken in the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd.

11:21 a.m.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Cari Park Ln. after a suspicious act was reported.

4:27 p.m.

A report was taken of an unemployment scam that was attempted in the 200 block of Summit Point Dr. There was no financial loss to the reporting party and there was no suspect information.

5:45 p.m.

Officers took a report of a theft from motor vehicle and damage to property that occurred in the 1400 block of Featherstone Ct. There were no suspects at the time, but the matter is under investigation.

April 20 8:44 a.m.

Officers checked a residence in the 100 block of 11th St. E. that appeared to have been broken into. There were no people located inside and the owner was notified.

11:49 a.m.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of 11th St. W. regarding a report of harassment.

1:08 p.m.

An investigation of a death was conducted in the 1100 block of Bahls Dr.

1:41 p.m.

Officers were dispatched near the intersection of 12th St. and Oak St. for a dog at large that was chasing people around 11:22 a.m. Officers spoke to the owner, who said they would try to retrieve the dog. An additional call was made at 1:41 p.m. advising that the same dog was running at large and had chased the caller. The owner, Kristina M. Schutlz, 38 of Hastings, was issued a citation for having a dog at large. The dog had since been retrieved.

4:39 p.m.

A vehicle theft was taken in the 3100 block of Village Trail.

5:02 p.m.

Officers were called to the 1100 block of Villa Ct. on a report of a possible fight involving weapons. Upon arrival, officers located the juvenile parties involved and determined no fight took place and a toy gun was located. No charges.

5:39 p.m.

Officers responded to the 2500 block of Yellowstone Dr. to document a possible assault. All parties involved were spoken to and each party had conflicting stories. An information report was completed. A crime was not able to be determined.

5:45 p.m.

An online report from a citizen was received of property damage and theft in the 300 block of Crestview Dr.

6:42 p.m.

An officer responded to a harassment call near the 900 block of 5th St. W. After investigation, it was determined no crime occurred.

7:27 p.m.

Officers responded to the 2500 block of Yellowstone Dr. for an assault in progress. The known suspect entered the victim’s residence and assaulted the victim. The suspect fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival.

April 21 9:09 a.m.

Officers assisted another agency in the 400 block of Ramsey St.

11:14 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of 10th St. W. and Vermillion St. on a report of a suspicious suitcase left abandoned. Officers investigated and located clothes inside a suitcase. The property was entered into evidence for safekeeping.

1:41 p.m.

A report was received of an after the fact identity theft incident. The investigation will be sent to the prosecuting attorney’s office for review for charging.

6:59 p.m.

Officers were notified of a fraud report in the 300 block of 36th St. W.

April 22 10:04 a.m.

Officers received an after the fact dog bite report in Three Rivers Ct. Officers located the animal and its’ owner. The dog was transported for quarantine. The bite sustained was minor.

10:05 a.m.

Officers responded to the 100 block of 23rd St. W. to check the welfare of an individual.

3:41 p.m.

Found property was reported in the 1300 block of S. Frontage Rd.

4:34 p.m.

Officers responded to the area of Monroe St. on a fraud report.

5:04 p.m.

An investigation of a death was conducted in the 500 block of Westview Dr.

7:13 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of Oak St. for a warrant. Officers investigated the call and arrested Kristina M. Schultz, 38 of Hastings, for an active felony Dakota County warrant.

7:32 p.m.

An online report was received by a citizen of property damage in the 800 block of Bailey St.

April 23 8:14 a.m.

Officers took a report of a property damage accident in the 500 block of Ramsey St. The accident resulted in minor damage.

10:52 a.m.

Officers responded to the 1900 block of Maple St. regarding a suspicious circumstance.

2:04 p.m.

Officers received a report of possible fraud that occurred in the 4100 block of Martin Ln.

2:12 p.m.

A vehicle was impounded from the 700 block of 31st St. E.

6:08 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of Vermillion St. for a damage to property report. The matter is under investigation.

9:44 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of 18th St. E. for a suspicious person call. Officers investigated and mediated the situation.

10:45 p.m.

Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 9th St. E. After investigation, one adult male will be charged via formal complaint for Gross Misdemeanor Tax Evasion.

April 24 1:26 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 15th St. W. and Maple St. The incident was documented.

1:51 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted in the 1400 block of Vermillion St. After investigation, Nou Gy Her, 30 of St. Paul, was cited for Driving After Revocation and No Proof of Insurance.

1:55 a.m.

An officer initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 10th St. W. The driver, Steven Martin, 28 of Champaign, IL, was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence. The passenger, Dustin W. Johnson, 27 of Champaign, IL, was cited for Possession of Marijuana.

7:59 a.m.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Nininger Rd. for an assault report. Dakota J. Blue, 26 of no particular address, was arrested.

11:41 a.m.

Officers responded to an address in the 300 block of 14th St. W. for a check welfare. While investigating, Kyle D. Hamilton, 30 of Hastings, was arrested for a Dakota County warrant and booked at Dakota County Jail. 7:07 p.m.

Officers conducted a warrant check in the 200 block of 5th St. W. Kyle A. Simmons, 29 of Hastings, was arrested for an active Dakota County warrant.

9:05 p.m.

An officer investigated a theft report in the 2100 block of Vermillion St. There was no suspect information at that time. The case is under investigation.

11:33 p.m.

A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of 5th St. and Eddy St. for speeding. After investigating, officers located a small amount of controlled substance that was collected to be destroyed.
