April 26 3:43 a.m.

Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Vermillion St. and Spiral View Loop. After investigation, Mathew D. Kuehl, 31 of Hastings, was arrested for 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance and gross misdemeanor tax evasion.

3:51 a.m.

Officers investigated the theft of a motor vehicle in the 100 block of 7th St. E. There were no suspects at the time and the case is under investigation.

9:22 a.m.

Officers were notified of a suspicious incident involving a cell phone in the 100 block of Tyler St.

9:50 a.m.

Officers were called to the 600 block of 36th St. W. for a found bicycle.

10:43 a.m.

Officers responded to the 500 block of Westview Dr. on a report of found property. Officers contacted the owner of the property. 10:45 a.m.

Officers were notified of an identity theft incident reported in the 100 block of 3rd St. E. Someone attempted identity theft regarding the MN Unemployment Office.

2:57 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Kendall Dr. regarding a male resident of a group home who was huffing chemicals from a can. Brian Larsen, 45 of Hastings, was cited for the violation. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Dakota County Jail after his probation officer issued a warrant for his arrest for violating the conditions of his parole.

4:10 p.m.

An officer was dispatched to the intersection of N. Frontage Rd. and Bahls Dr. for a property damage accident. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

5:30 p.m.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Bailey St. for a juvenile complaint.

8:20 p.m.

Officers assisted Dakota County Sheriff’s Deputies on a traffic stop where the driver, Shawn Dobyne-Jones, 23, was arrested on a warrant.

April 27 7:25 a.m.

Multiple calls were made regarding a driving complaint near the 900 block of 15th St. W. Officers located the vehicle and made contact with the driver, who appeared under the influence. Quentin S. Boie, 26 of Hastings, was arrested for Gross Misdemeanor DUI.

8:18 a.m.

A damage to property report was taken in the 1300 block of Honeysuckle Ln.

9:44 a.m.

An officer took a property damage report in the 100 block of 17th St. E. The incident is under investigation.

11:08 a.m.

Officers investigated suspicious text messages sent by an unknown person, alleging a crime had taken place. After investigating, the allegation was unfounded, and the texts appeared to have come from a voice over internet protocol number out of South Carolina.

1:42 p.m.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle property damage accident near the intersection of Pleasant Dr. and Whispering Ln.

7:18 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of 18th St. E. regarding a harassment complaint. The case was documented for informational purposes.

April 28 1:38 a.m.

Officers conducted a traffic stop near the 1000 block of Vermillion St. The driver, Eric Hanson, 35 of Hastings, was cited for expired motor vehicle registration.

9:16 a.m.

An online report of fraud was received from the 1000 block of 11th St. W.

9:17 a.m.

A motor vehicle theft report was taken in the 1500 block of Vermillion St.

3:57 p.m.

A past action theft report was taken in the 1600 block of 4th St. E.

April 29 3:44 a.m.

An officer conducted a traffic stop near the 1400 block of Vermillion St. The driver, Paul Freese, 50 of Hastings, was arrested for Felony – Third Degree Possession, gross misdemeanor tax evasion and gross misdemeanor driving with a cancelled IPS driver’s license.

9:17 a.m.

Officers assisted another agency in the 700 block of 5th St. W.

5:09 p.m.

Hastings Police were dispatched to check someone’s welfare in the 1500 block of Vermillion St. The incident was documented.

6:16 p.m.

Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 33rd St. W. The driver was medically cleared.

8:31 p.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 31st St. and Shannon Dr. The driver, Alex Snyder, 25 of Hastings, was issued a citation for speed. April 30 3:41 a.m.

Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Hwy. 61 and Spiral View Loop. One passenger, Noe Marquez-Melendez, 37 of Hastings, was arrested on a related case. Another passenger, Brian Anderson, 44 of Red Wing, was arrested for Felony – Fifth Degree Possession and a Freeborn County warrant.

4:25 a.m.

An online report was received of a missing Amazon package in the 400 block of Tuttle Dr. 8:44 a.m.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of 11th St. W. regarding a report of theft. Approximately $900 was stolen. Upon investigation, there were no suspects, and the case was inactive. 9:48 a.m.

An officer was dispatched to the intersection of Red Wing Blvd. and Vermillion St. for a two-vehicle crash. One minor injury was reported. No citations were issued. 11:36 a.m. Hastings officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of 15th St. W. on a suspicious act. After investigating, it was determined that property was damaged.

2:39 p.m.

Officers received a report of a fight that occurred near the intersection of 15th St. W. and Pleasant Dr.

4:39 p.m.

Officers arrested Tara A. Mauch, 40 of Hastings, two warrants.

May 1 12:45 p.m.

A suspicious act was reported in the 400 block of Pleasant Dr.

2:08 p.m.

Officers investigated a past action theft report in the 400 block of Commerce Ct. An unknown subject obtained about $1,000 in property.

3:42 p.m.

Officers were called to a business in the 1200 block of 18th St. E. regarding an intoxicated male who was refusing to leave. Ira Hoffman, 41 of St. Cloud, was trespassed by staff and warned not to return.

5:11 p.m.

Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Pleasant Dr. and 14th St.

6:04 p.m.

Officers investigated an assault that occurred in the 200 block of Tyler St. The incident is under investigation.

7:03 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of 18th St. E. following a report of trespassing. After investigating, Ira C. Hoffman, 41 of St. Cloud, was arrested for Misdemeanor Trespassing and Misdemeanor Obstruct the Legal Process.

9:15 p.m.

An attempted theft was reported in the 1900 block of 14th St. W. The case is under investigation.

11:37 p.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Red Wing Blvd. and Tuttle Dr. A juvenile passenger was issued a citation for Misdemeanor Underage Consumption of Alcohol.

May 2 2:31 a.m.

A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 10th St. The driver, Aaliya Stage-Trejo of St. Paul, was taken into custody for 4th Degree Driving While Intoxicated.

8:22 a.m.

A theft from motor vehicle report was received in the 1900 block of Louis Ln.

6:14 p.m.

A found dog was reported near the intersection of 25th St. W. and Cannon St. A younger brown dog was transported to the River Bluff Humane Society.

8:19 p.m.

A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle in the 1400 block of Vermillion St. The driver, Jessica Sellers, 29 of St. Paul, was charged with 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, Driving After Revocation and Possession of Hypodermic Needles.
