Officers were notified of a theft in the 1100 block of Nininger Rd.

A minor traffic accident was reported in the 1300 block of S. Frontage Rd.

Officers took a found dog near the intersection of 33rd St. and Vermillion St. The dog was returned to the owner.

8:04 p.m.

A suspicious person was reported in the 100 block of 24th St. W. After investigating, Mitchell J. Winter, 28 of Hastings, was arrested for multiple active warrants.

9:08 p.m.

Officers investigated a suspicious person in the 1300 block of S. Frontage Rd. The incident was mediated.

May 5 12:20 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances in the 1400 block of Vermillion St. The incident is under investigation.

2:25 a.m.

A male with multiple warrants was located near the intersection of Cannon St. and 23rd St. W. John W. Moeller, 29 of Hastings, was arrested on six outstanding warrants, along with fleeing on foot, 3rd Degree Drug Possession, 2nd Degree Drug Sales, possession of brass knuckles and possession of drug paraphernalia.

7:35 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of 2nd St. W. for a hit and run property damage accident.

12:06 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Vermillion St. and 10th St. for a property damage accident. Connie Fossen, 69 of Wykoff, MN, was cited for failure to drive in a single lane.

12:10 p.m.

A report was taken from another agency involving an individual possessing child pornography in the City of Hastings. This case is under investigation.

12:31 p.m.

A damage to property report was taken in the 900 block of 16th St. W.

2:57 p.m.

A citizen dropped off a found/abandoned bike at the police department.

3:41 p.m.

An officer was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 17th St. W. and Forest St. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

May 6 12:35 p.m.

An officer took a misdemeanor theft report that occurred in the 200 block of Tyler St. A suspect has been identified and the incident is under investigation.

May 7 4:14 p.m.

A damage to property report was taken in the 300 block of State St.

May 8 1:50 a.m.

Officers responded to a suspicious incident in the 1400 block of Hillside St. After investigating, the information from the report was unfounded.

2:05 p.m.

An officer responded to a business in the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. for a vehicle that hit a motorized wheelchair and that occupant was on the ground.

5:50 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Nininger Rd. regarding a disturbance. Officers investigated the call and determined a crime had not occurred. One adult male was provided a ride out of the city.

7:53 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Martin Ln. regarding a juvenile complaint. After investigation, a 15-year-old male was cited for underage consumption and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
