May 17 12:09 a.m.
A driver was stopped by Dakota County Sheriff’s Office for displaying a stolen license plate. Shortly afterwards, the vehicle fled the scene and was headed towards the city of Hastings. A Hastings officer located the vehicle near the intersection of Ravenna Tr. and Glendale Rd. and attempted to stop it. The vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. Hastings officers attempted to disable the vehicle with stop sticks but were unsuccessful. The vehicle fled northbound into Cottage Grove where the driver was ultimately taken into custody. One adult male is to be charged via formal complaint for fleeing in a motor vehicle.
6:59 a.m.
An officer was dispatched to a single vehicle crash in the 2600 block of Glendale Rd. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.
9:34 a.m.
Officers were called to the 200 block of 12th St. W. for an accident.
12:49 p.m.
Officers investigated a possible theft from the 3100 block of Vermillion St. The incident is under investigation.
2:35 p.m.
Officers responded to a minor property damage accident in the 200 block of 21st St.
2:44 p.m.
Officers were called to the 1600 block of Fallbrooke Dr. for a theft report.
6:15 p.m.
Officers responded to a disturbance in the 600 block of 15th St. W. Officers investigated and mediated the situation.
May 18 1:03 a.m.
A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle on Vermillion St. near 10th St. E. The driver, Rikeeya Russell, 37 of Inver Grove Heights, was taken into custody for 3rd Degree Driving While Intoxicated.
1:20 p.m.
Officers responded to a medical call in the 2400 block of Vermillion St.
2:44 p.m.
Officers responded to the 100 block of 26th St. E. regarding a possible assault in progress. After investigating, Edward Erchsen, 53 of Hastings, was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at the Dakota County Jail.
11:23 p.m.
Officers stopped out with a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Eddy St. and Cty. Rd. 47. After investigating, Lindsay A. Kohner, 34 of St. Paul, and Raymond A. Gruer, 35 of Hastings, were arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.
May 19 1:10 a.m.
Officers responded to a medical call in the 100 block of Three Rivers Dr.
9:01 a.m.
Information was received about a hit-and-run accident which occurred north of the city limits of Hastings. The suspect vehicle was located in the 100 block of 3rd St. E. The driver, Raymond D. Parrish, 20 of St. Paul, was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle and a stop sign violation. Officers turned over the crash scene to MN State Patrol.
9:45 a.m.
A one vehicle accident was reported in the 200 block of General Sieben Dr. No citations were issued, and no injuries were reported.
2:00 p.m.
Officers were called to the 100 block of 3rd St. E. for a found property report. Ammunition was turned in and put into property.
2:36 p.m.
An officer met with a citizen who had found a MN Driver’s License at Lyon’s Park. The license was determined to be expired and had already been voided. The license was entered into evidence to be destroyed.
2:40 p.m.
Officers responded to an address in the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. for a theft report. After investigating, Louis M. Lemons Jr., 29 of Minneapolis, was issued a citation for misdemeanor theft.
9:34 p.m.
Officers responded to the area of Meggan Dr. for a disturbance. The situation was mediated.
7:12 p.m.
Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 55 and Prairie St. Nathan W. Penrod, 42 of Hastings, was issued a citation for misdemeanor expired registration.
10:55 p.m.
A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle at the intersection of 18th St. E. near Ramsey St. The driver, Cody Russell, 21 of Hastings, was taken into custody for 4th Degree Driving While Intoxicated.
May 21 6:45 a.m.
Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of 33rd St. W. on a theft report.
10:38 a.m.
A theft report was taken from the 1300 block of S. Frontage Rd. No suspect information was known.
2:34 p.m.
A theft report was taken from the 1400 block of Vermillion St. Tania M. Weinke, 53 of Hastings, was cited for misdemeanor theft.
4:09 p.m.
A theft report was taken in the 1600 block of Vermillion St. The incident is under investigation.
5:18 p.m.
A suspicious circumstances report was taken from the 500 block of 3rd St. W.
8:00 p.m.
An officer documented a theft by swindle report over the phone from the 1600 block of Spring St. The victim reported giving the unknown suspects $499. The case was documented.
10:59 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of 23rd St. W. regarding a traffic accident. Officers investigated the call and determined a crime had not been committed. The case was documented for informational purposes.
12:32 p.m.
A one-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Vermillion St. and 24th St. W. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.
11:36 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Westview Dr. regarding a disturbance. The case is under investigation.
10:55 a.m.
A two-vehicle crash report was taken in the 1300 block of 15th St. W.
3:21 p.m.
An officer tried to do a Predatory Offender Report in the 400 block of 14th St. W. without success. A non-compliant packet was ordered, and the incident is under investigation.
4:06 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of 18th St. W. on a damage to property report. A window of an abandoned building was broken.
6:04 p.m.
An investigation was started into suspicious circumstances reported in the 300 block of Tiffany Dr. The incident is under investigation.
9:12 p.m.
Officers were dispatch3d to the 800 block of 15th St. W. regarding a theft. The case is under investigation.
