May 24 3:01 a.m.
Officers responded to a reported theft of a motor vehicle near the intersection of Red Wing Blvd. and 33rd St. W. The vehicle was located and the driver, Kristian L. Smallwood, 28 of New Ulm, MN, was arrested for felony theft, receiving stolen property and second-degree possession of narcotics. 2:01 p.m.
Officers responded to Jaycee Park to assist DNR agents involving a single vehicle accident.
2:12 p.m.
A driver was stopped and cited for an illegal turn at the intersection of 15th St. and Vermillion St.
6:43 p.m.
An officer responded to the 1400 block of Vermillion St. to investigate a drug related offense. Upon arrival, a traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle related to this call. After making contact with the suspect, the suspect fled from officers in a motor vehicle. The suspect was identified, and the case was submitted to the county attorney for charging. 10:59 p.m.
An officer assisted another agency on a traffic stop near the 600 block of Westview Dr.
May 25 1:07 a.m.
Officers responded to the 300 block of 17th St. for a suspicious person call. During the investigation, one of the individuals on scene was found to have a Washington County outstanding warrant. The warrant was confirmed and Kyle D. Hamilton, 30 of Hastings, was booked for his warrant. 8:27 a.m.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of Bahls Dr. for a theft of catalytic converter report.
10:42 a.m.
Officers were called to the 300 block of 9th St. W. for a theft from motor vehicle complaint. A catalytic converter was taken from a vehicle.
6:35 p.m.
Officers responded to assist Dakota County with a warrant arrest near the 300 block of Whispering Ln.
8:05 p.m.
An officer took a damage to property call near the 500 block of Westview Dr. The incident is under investigation.
11:48 p.m.
A traffic stop was conducted in the 1600 block of Vermillion St. After investigation, the driver, Daniel W. Kranz, 20 of Hastings, was arrested for 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Over 1.4 Grams of Marijuana in a vehicle and speeding.
May 26 1:00 a.m.
Officers conducted a welfare check in the 1600 block of Vermillion St. After investigation, Crystal L. Allen, 36 of Hastings, was arrested for an active felony warrant out of Dakota County.
2:22 a.m.
A traffic stop was performed on a vehicle near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 4th St. E. The driver, Roger Her, 25 of St. Paul, was taken into custody for 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, possession of marijuana and driving after revocation. The passenger, Michael Vang, 26 of Inver Grove Heights, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. 6:06 a.m.
Officers were called to the 200 block of 17th St. W. for a reported suspicious person. Eric A. Hanson, 35 of no particular address, was cited for driving while revoked.
10:32 a.m.
Officers were called to the 900 block of Nininger Rd. for a theft report after flowers were reportedly taken from a grave site.
1:15 p.m.
Officers were notified of found property near the intersection of 4th St. and Sibley St. 1:23 p.m.
Officers were sent to the area of Vermillion St. and Cty. Rd. 47 for a hit and run. Officers later located the suspect and arrested Roger D. Wyman, 56 of Hastings, for driving while intoxicated.
May 27 7:07 a.m.
Found property was reported in the 300 block of Frederick Cir.
9:41 a.m.
Officers conducted a welfare check in the 1100 block of Sibley St.
10:17 a.m.
Officers investigated fraudulent activity in the 1500 block of Forest St. that occurred the previous day. An unknown subject obtained $1,500. 2:39 p.m.
Fraudulent activity was investigated that originated from the 1600 block of 4th St. E. An unknown subject obtained about $190 in goods. 6:22 p.m.
A driving complaint was investigated near the intersection of 2nd St. E. and Sibley St. Timothy G. Rowe, 55 of Hastings, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
May 28 12:30 a.m.
Officers responded to a medical call in the 600 block of 7th St. E.
2:23 a.m.
Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 5th St. E. and Sibley St. After investigating, Rosa M. Martinez, 28 of Hastings, was issued a citation for driving after revocation and no proof of insurance.
4:05 a.m.
Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 1600 block of Vermillion St. After investigating, Alejandro C. Leon, 24 of Inver Grove Heights, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
6:40 a.m.
A one-vehicle accident was reported in the 800 block of S. Frontage Rd. Blake A. Nelson, 36 of Inver Grove Heights, was cited for no proof of insurance. No injuries were reported.
10:27 a.m.
Officers responded to the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. for a possible theft. A male concealed items but did not leave the store. He was trespassed by the business owner.
1:35 p.m.
Officers were called to the 1100 block of Bahls Dr. for a theft from motor vehicle report. No suspects.
7:36 p.m.
Officers investigated an animal complaint in the 900 block of 14th St. W. Kristina M. Schultz, 38 of Hastings, was issued citations for dog at large and no dog license.
7:38 p.m.
An officer responded to the 500 block of Whispering Ln. for a welfare check. The situation was mediated.
7:56 p.m.
Officers conducted a warrant check in the 500 block of Ramsey St. After investigation, Christine K. Kelley, 57 of Hastings, was arrested for multiple active warrants.
9:49 p.m.
A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle near the intersection of 18th St. and Forest St. The driver, Brian O’Neal, 25 of Hastings, was cited for no proof of insurance.
11:26 p.m.
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle on the Hastings bridge. After investigation, the driver, Madisen A. Miller, 24 of Woodbury, was found to be impaired and arrested for driving under the influence.
May 29 1:17 a.m.
A traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of 31st St. and Red Wing Blvd. Two juveniles were issued citations.
10:04 a.m.
A theft report was taken in the 2600 block of Commerce Dr. The incident is under investigation.
10:58 a.m.
A citation was issued to William H. Jensen, 19, for failure to display current registration on the vehicle parked in the 3500 block of Greten Ln.
4:37 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to check the welfare in the 2400 block of Voyageur Pkwy.
May 30 2:41 a.m.
A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 4th St. and Eddy St. for a driving complaint. After investigation, Elizabeth M. Melvin, 48 of Hastings, was arrested for 4th Degree Driving While Intoxicated.
3:50 p.m.
Officers received an after the fact theft report from the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. The case is under investigation.
