August 3rd 2:15am Officers located a vehicle near the intersection of Tyler St and 8th St E. The license plates displayed on the vehicle did not match the make or model of the vehicle. This case is under investigation.
5:30 am Officer was dispatched to a car versus deer property damage accident in the 1000 block of Ravenna Trail.
9:08 am Officers were sent to the 1100 block of Spiral Boulevard for an illegal dumping complaint. Officers investigated but lack evidence for criminal charges.
9:33 am Officer took a theft from vehicle report from the 2500 block of Voyageur Parkway.
9:43 am Officer took a burglary report from the 200 block of Second St W.
1:16 pm Officers assisted another agency on the 3400 block of Cory Lane.
4:22 pm Officers were sent to the 30 block of Three Rivers Drive for a check welfare. Officer provided information.
7:31 pm Officers responded to a single vehicle accident on private property in the 2000 block of 15th Street West. The incident was documented for informational purposes.
7:38 pm Officers conducted a welfare check in the 1000 block of Vermillion Street August 4th 7:17 pm Officers were sent to the 100 block of 25th Street west for found drug paraphernalia in the roadway. Officers collected the items and placed them in evidence for disposal.
7:37 Officer was dispatch to the 400 block of Pine Street for a property damage crash. Tyler Brown (age 22) of Hastings was cited for use of wireless communications device. 9:15 am Officers were notified of a damage to property report in the 400 block of Tiffany Drive.
10:26 am officers were notified of a damage to property incident in the 3600 block of Maher Avenue. Officers filed charges via a different case number.
10:58 am officers were notified of a damage to property incident in the 3600 block of Sirett Court. Officers issued charges in a different case number.
2:26 pm Officers were sent to the 500 block of 7th Street east for an aggressive dog complaint. Officers cited Chrystal Marie Nepstad, age 35, of Hastings with dog at large.
9:35 pm Officers responded to the 3400 block of Lester Avenue for two suspicious people next to a vehicle. The parties were not on scene but were observed throwing something in the trash. Loaded hypodermic needles were located in the dumpster as well as baggies with trace amounts of methamphetamine in them. The items were entered into evidence to be destroyed. The suspects were located later and arrested for warrants in another case number.
11:46 pm Hastings police were dispatched to multiple calls of vandalism/ property damage. Numerous mailboxes were damaged, and this incident documents damage in the 100 block of 37th St W, 3600 block of Maher Ave, 200 block of Tiffany Dr and 300 block of Tiffany Dr. Suspects were identified and will be charged under case number 20001689.
August 5th 12:32 am Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of 17th Street and Vermillion Street for a driving status violation. After further investigation, Deivin Nichael Schnobrich, 21 of New Ulm, was issued a citation for misdemeanor – driving after suspension and allowed to leave the vehicle parked legally in the parking lot.
8:52 pm Officers responded to a juvenile complaint call near the 500 block of Kendall Drive.
August 6th 8:58 am Officers were called to the 3600 block of James court for a theft report. A boat motor and a trolling motor were stolen. No suspects. Inactive.
12:40 am Officers responded to the area of Megan Drive on a warrant arrest. Dominic Joseph Abbatecola, 48 years of Burnsville, was arrested and booked at Dakota County for failure to appear – felony -terroristic threats.
2:11 pm officers took a disturbance call in the 300 block of State St.
6:27 pm Officers responded to the 1200 block of Vermillion Street for a disorderly male in a business. Officers located the male at the 1500 block of Vermillion Street. During the investigation officers learned the male had a Washington County warrant. Carl Litschke 47 of Hastings was taken into custody. Washington County did not want him held on his warrant. He was provided information about addressing the warrant and released from the scene.
7:54 pm Officers conducted a traffic stop near 2nd Street and Sibley Street. Bobbie Joe Wagner, age 52 of Minneapolis, was cited for driving after suspension.
August 7th 1:38 am Officers conducted a traffic stop near 10th Street and Sibley Street. One adult female was charged via formal complaint with gross misdemeanor no insurance, driving after cancellation, and a stop sign violation.
3:43 am Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Vermillion Street. Camille Leigh Adams, age 59 of Hastings, was arrested for driving after cancellation.
8:20 pm Officers initiated a traffic stop on two vehicles at 10th Street West and Eddy Street. Officers cited one of the driver’s, Shanika Johnson 25 of Maplewood, for driving after revocation. The other driver was given a verbal warning.
1:09 pm Officers were dispatched to speak with an individual regarding ongoing harassment. This report was created for documentation purposes only.
6:30 pm Officer was dispatched to an accident involving two vehicles. No injuries reported and no citations were issued.
9:37 pm Officers responded to the 100 block of 2nd Street East for a disturbance. Officers investigated the situation and arrested Jamie Scheichel age 36 of Minneapolis for felony terroristic threats, gross misdemeanor damage to property, and 5th degree assault.
August 8th 2:49 am Officers conducted a traffic stop near highway 61 and Spiral View Loop. Two juveniles were cited for underage consumption. Justin Lee Olson, age 18 of Hugo, was found to be impaired and arrested for driving under the influence, driving while drinking under 21, and underage consumption.
1:06 am Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at 10th Street and Vermillion Street. During the course of the traffic stop, officers determined the driver was impaired. Aita Tamang, 30, of St. Paul, was arrested for 2nd degree DWI.
3:16 pm Officers responded to 1300 block of N Frontage Road on a theft report. Suspect ran out of store with item and left at a high rate of speed. Officers unable to locate suspect. Incident is under investigation 5:25 pm Rosemount PD Advised they were in pursuit of a vehicle traveling east on co. Rd. 46 at a high rate of speed. The vehicle came into Hastings and the driver fled on foot after parking on a sidewalk in the 2000 block of Vermillion St. A perimeter was set up and a search was made but the male suspect was not located.
7:56 pm Officer conducted a traffic stop for speed near the intersection of county road 42 and Garden View Trail. After investigation the driver Osvaldo Garcilazo Cruz male age 23, of Shakopee was cited for driving after suspension.
8:47 pm Officers responded to the 1600 block of Vermillion Street for a disturbance. There was insufficient evidence to support criminal charges and the matter was documented for informational purposes.
10:00 pm Officers responded to the 1700 block of Frontage Road North for a hit and run accident. The matter is under investigation 11:18 pm Officer responded to a hitand- run accident involving two vehicles. No injuries reported and no citations issued.
August 9th 12:28 am Officers received a report of an after the fact theft incident at the 1600 block of Vermillion St. The case is under investigation 2:19 pm Officers received an after the fact theft of motor vehicle report from the 800 block of 10th St W. The case is under investigation 6:01 pm Officers responded to the 100 block of 25th Street west for a welfare check.
7:31 pm Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Tiffany Drive in regard to an animal call. This case is under investigation.
8:55 pm Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Cari Park Lane in regard to a suspicion. This case was documented for informational purposes.
10:10 pm Hastings police took a damage to property report in the 400 block of Tiffany Dr. Three suspects were identified, and this case will be aggregated with other like-cases for charging.
