August 10th

2:25 am Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Vermillion St for a welfare check. One individual was transported to the hospital.

5:58 am Officers attempted to stop a motorcycle at 15th and Vermillion for excessive speed. The driver fled from officers and the pursit was terminated south of Hastings.

9:13 am Officer assisted Dakota County Sheriff’s Deputies with a warrant arrest in the 200 block of Sibley St.

9:42 am Officer took an identity theft report from the 900 block of 4th St. W.

10:21 am Officers investigated a complaint of a violation of the Governors Executive Order in the 1700 block of Vermillion St. The complaint was investigated and the business was advised.

2:36 pm Officers responded to the 3500 block of Greten Ln on a report of an off road vehicle complaint. After investigation, the owner was identified and warned for violation of city ATV ordinances.

3:34 pm Officers we notified of a theft from vehicle report. The vehicle had been parked at multiple locations in Hastings and Cottage Grove. Officers are investigating.

5:00 pm Officers responded to the 2600 block of Vermillion St for a two vehicle accident.

6:12 pm Officers responded to the 200 block of Tiffany Dr regarding damage to property. $61.46 worth of damage occured 7:14pm Officers responded to the 2100 block of Louis Ln regarding a welfare check.

8:03 pm Officers responded to the 400 block of 17th St regarding damaged property. Approximately $12 was damaged, no suspects at this time.

8:26 pm Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Tiffany Dr regarding a dog bite. The case is under investigation.

9:05 pm Officers conducted a traffic stop near the 500 block of Kendall Dr. Sarah Ann Nitti (21) was cited for drivng after revocation and failure to carry proof of insurance.

10:36 pm Officers responded to a disturbance near the 2400 block of Vermillion St. Adnan Hussein Hassan (22) of Columbia Heights was cited for disorderly conduct. Miyah Danielle Johnson (19) of Cottage Grove was cited for Disorderly Conduct, Indecent Exposure and Underage Consumption.

August 11th

8:07 am Officers were advised of an after the fact burglary that took place on 8/1/20. There are no suspects.

9:13 am Citizen online report of bicylce theft 2:07 pm Officers received a complaint of a suspicious act. It isn’t known if the damage that occurred to the vehicle was intentional or mechanical.

4:31 pm Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Ramsey St to check the welfare of a male who was at the residence and was not supposed to be. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the male who agreed to leave.

7:49 pm Officers handled a parking violation near the 1400 block of Pine St.

9:06 pm Officers initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of 3rd St E and Washington St. Elizabeth Anne Salmele (37) of Hastings was cited for open container, driving without a valid license, possession of drug parapheernalia and failure to carry proof of insurance.

10:19 pm Officers took a fraud report with a loss of approximately $839. There are no suspects.

August 12th

1:04 am Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 31st St E and Cory Ln. After investigating, Warren Anthony Kocurek (60) of Hastings was arrested for felony 5th degree possession of a controlled substance, drive while cancelled IPS and possession of drug paraphenalia. Jessica Marie Besch (38) of Hastings was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphenalia then released at the scene.

8:33 am Officers assisted another agency on the 1600 block of South Frontage Rd.

10:44 am Officers responded to the 2500 block of Voyageur Pkwy on an after the fact theft of tools and beverages.

12:53 pm Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of the County Point. After further investigation, Patrick Robert McGowan (56) was issued a citation for misdemeanor driving after suspension and allowed to wait for a valid driver.

1:10 pm Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of 36th St and Hayes Dr. After further investigation, Alan Joseph Dosmann (34) of ham Lake, was cited for Misdemeanor driving after revocation and allowed to wait for a valid driver.

2:58 pm Officers responded to the intersection of Ashland St and 5th St on a report of a minor car accident.

6:30 pm Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Three Rivers Ct for a weapons related incident. After investigation, officers placed a juvenile female under arrest for 2nd degree assault.

7:26 pm Officers responded to the 3200 block of Vermillion St for a warrant service. Daniel Lee Bignell (47) of Hastings was arrested for an outstanding warrant and transferred to Goodhue County August 13th

1:03 am Officers responded to the 100 block of Megan Dr for a juvenile complaint.

1:04 am Officers attempted to stop a vehicle at the intersection of Vermillion St and 15th St. A pursuit occurred and was ultimately terminated at the County Point. This case is under investigation.

9:21 am Officers were requested to assist with a trespass notice. Officers assisted as needed and the report was created for documentation purposes only.

9:57 am Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of 2nd St regarding a suspicious person. After further investigation, it was determined a harassment order was violated and the reporting was forwarded to the city attorney’s office for charge consideration.

1:27 pm Officers mitigated a civil dispute in the 3500 block of Vermillion St.

2:15 pm Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of 8th St and Vermillion St regarding expired registration. After further investigation, Kou Lee Thao (44) of St. Paul, was issued a a citation of misdemeanor driving after cancellation and was allowed to wait for a licensed driver.

5:41 pm Officers were dispatched to check the welfare of a male who had been laying down near the river on Cty Rd 47 and Ashland St. The male was transported by ambulance.

6:25 pm Officers received a harassing communications complaint in the 3400 block of Cory Ln.

8:16 pm Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Ravenna trail and Glendale Rd. After investigation, Jesse Martine Raide (31) of So. St. Paul, was cited for driving after suspension and no proof of insurance.

10:08 pm Officers conducted a traffic stop near the 600 block of 10th St E. After investigation, Jamargus Cordarius Horsley (29) of Red Wing, was arrested for an active felony warrant out of Goodhue County.

10:37 pm Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Centyr Dr. and 31st St E in regards to an accident. Upon further investigation, Rochelle M Krenzel (41) of Hastings, was cited for driving after revocation, duty to drive with due care and no proof of insurance. This case is under investigation.

11:37 pm Officers responded to a suspicious person in the 1500 block of highway 55. After investigation, Dejon Tayshawn Marieon Johnson (21) of Apple Valley was arrested at the request of Burnsville PD. He was booked into jail under a Burnsville Detention form.

August 14th

Sgt Beuch was dispatched to the area of 3rd St and Ramsey St. Dispatch indicated two vehicles had crashed with no injuries. One citation was issued to Betty Tastad (81) of Hager City WI, for failure to stop for a stop sign.

4:43 pm Officers were provided a piece of property that had been turned in at an unknown time. The property was then entered in as safekeeping in the event the owner was identified.

4:57 pm Officers were investigated a possible restraining order violation in the 2200 block of Vermillion St.

6:33 pm Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Florence St. in regards to a theft. An unknown person took $320 worth of items.

7:17 pm Officers responded to the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd regarding a male being at a business in which he had trespassed. The incident is under investigation and there is a suspect.

11:30 pm Officers were requested by the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office to assist on a traffic stop located at Ravenna Trl and Polk Ave. Hastings officers utilized their K-9 for a vehicle search.

August 15th

1:50 pm Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Ramsey St and 7th St. After investigation, Justin Rodger Barghausen (33) of Lake City was cited for driving after revocation.

1:52 pm Officers responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Hwy 55 and Pleasent Dr. Tanner Mitchell Marko (25) of Eagan, was issued a citation for driving after revocation, fail to drive with due care and no proof of insurance.

5:58 pm Officers responded to a suspicious person in the 100 block of 2nd St E. After investigation, one male was found to have an active warrant and was advised to contact Washington County to take care of it.

6:50 pm Officers recevied a theft report in the 300 block of 2nd St E. The incident was documented.

9:00 pm Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Ravenna Trl and Polk Ave. After investigation, Jeb Tanner Johnson (40) of Hopkins, was arrested for driving after cancellation inimical to public safety.

10:04 pm Officers responded to the parking lot of Cub Foods for a driving complaint. After investigation, Cory Alan Leyde (34) of St. Paul, was issued a citation for violating an instructional driving permit.

10:52 pm Officers conducted a traffic stop near Vermillion St and 36th St. Kyle David Maygar (36) of Hastings was issued a citation for driving after revocation and no insurance.

August 16th

5:29 am Officers responded to a medical in the 600 block of 5th St West.

9:04 am Officers initiated a report regarding a non-compliant predatory offender that resides in the City of Hastings.

11:37 Officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of 12th St and Vermillion St. After further investigation, Daniel John Wilhelm (35) of Wauwautosa, WI was arrested for an active warrant. Daniel was then transported and booked at Dakota County Jail.

1:04 pm Officers investigated a past action theft in the 1000 block of Southview Dr. An unknown subject stole about $500 in property.

3:75 pm Officers were called to the 2000 block of Vermillion St for a disturbance. This is under investigation.

4:59 pm Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of 3rd St regarding a warrant. John Deloss Turner (29) of Burnsville, was arrested and booked at Dakota County Jail on multiple warrants.

6:33 pm Officers responded to the 200 block of Tiffany Dr for a damage to property report. The case was related to case 20001689 6:59 om Officers received a theft report in the 2500 block of Yellowstone Dr. The incident is under investigation.

7:00 pm Officers received a report of suspicious circumstances in the 1000 block of 3rd St E. This report is under investigation.

10:12 pm Officers conducted a traffic stop near Hwy 55 and Prairie St. Terrance Terrell Lane (23) of Hastings, was cited for Driving after revocation and no proof of insurance.
