August 24th 9:44 a.m. Officers responded to the 1500 block of Vermillion St. on a civil matter. Officers spoke to the parties involved and mediated the dispute.

11:13 a.m. Officers assisted the Red Wing police in an investigation.

5:38 p.m. Officers took a damage to property report on the 800 block of 5th St. W. A window of a pick-up truck topper was broken. There are no known suspects currently.

8:07 p.m. Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at 17th St. W. and Vermillion St. The driver, Heidi Niederkorn, 41, of Hastings, was cited for no proof of insurance and expired registration.

August 25th 12:00 p.m. An Officer conducted ordinance compliance checks on three businesses in the city of Hastings 3:44 p.m. An Officer was sent to 1700 Market Blvd. for a theft of a wallet.

5:14 p.m. Officers took a fraud report from the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd.

7:29 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. regarding a threats call. This case was documented for informational purposes.

8:19 p.m. Officers responded to a civil matter in the 400 block of 17th St. W. The incident was mediated revocation. by officers on scene.

August 26th 3:02 a.m. Hastings Police located evidence of a hit-and-run collision in the 2200 block of Vermillion St. This incident is under investigation.

8:28 a.m. Officers conducted a death investigation.

9:42 a.m. Officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances in the 100 block of Sandpiper Cir.

9:45 a.m. Officer took a theft report from the 1600 block of Fallbrooke Dr.

1:18 p.m. Officers responded to Pleasant Dr. and Whispering Ln for a motor vehicle accident.

1:51 p.m. Officers located a found black LG cell phone in the 100 block of 4th St. E.

10:58 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Hwy 55 and Westview Dr. Officers investigated the traffic stop and arrested Alisa D. Brown, 29, of Hastings, for an active Gross Misdemeanor warrant out of Ramsey County. Alisa was also cited for driving after August 27th 1:35 a.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of Kendall Dr. regarding a medical concern.

10:23 a.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of Sibley St to assist the Ramsey County Sheriffs office with an arrest warrant. Devan Dejon Wilson, 29, of Hastings, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

11:53 a.m. Officers were notified of a fraud in the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. Officers are investigating.

8:59 p.m. Officers responded to the 1600 block of Vermillion St. regarding a warrant service. An individual with a misdemeanor warrant was provided with a new court date.

August 28th 7:23 a.m. Officers were notified of damage to property in the 1300 block of Honeysuckle Lane. Officers filed a report. There are no known subjects.

11:33 a.m. Officers responded to the 1500 block of Florence St. on a fire related call. It was reported smoke was coming from a 2nd story window. Burned food was found to be the reason for the smoke.

3:08 p.m. Officers began an investigation into illegal possession of a firearm.

5:26 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of 16th St. W. regarding a theft. The total loss was $10. There are no suspects.

5:49 p.m. Officers conducted a welfare check 2800 block of Red Wing Blvd. Zarren Edward Schmidt, 22, of Hastings, was arrested for a felony Department of Corrections Warrant, felon in possession of a firearm and felony theft of a firearm.

10:23 p.m. Officers located an adult female who had apparently fallen down in the street in the 1200 block of Vermillion St. The female was transported to the hospital by medics.

August 29th 2:02 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Vermillion St and 3rd St. E. Officers investigated the traffic stop and cited Shacara T. Foster, 35, of St. Paul, for driving after suspension.

7:28 a.m. Officers investigated a hit and run crash in the 1800 block of Forest St. An unknown subject caused about $250.00 in damage.

11:04 a.m. Officers were called to the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. for a financial transaction card fraud report. This remains under investigation.

1:40 p.m. Officers investigated a past action theft from the 400 block of Tiffany Dr. An unknown subject took about $400.00 in property.

6:32 p.m. Officer responded to the 100 block of State St. for a dumping complaint. Officers investigate the situation. Officers mediated the situation.

August 30th 12:41 a.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of 7th St. E. for a missing person report. The matter is under investigation.

1:02 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 10th St. E. and Vermillion St. After investigation, Maggie Mae Lorenz, 37, of St. Paul, was cited for driving after suspension.

1:41 a.m. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speeding violation. The vehicle fled and a brief pursuit was initiated until officers lost sight of the vehicle. The vehicle was located in Lakeville a short time later and the driver, Kenneth Demon Spencer, 42, of Minneapolis, was arrested for fleeing in a motor vehicle and other traffic offenses. A passenger, George Eugene McCray, 35, was arrested for three outstanding warrants.

3:06 a.m. Officers initiated a traffic stop on a on a vehicle at County Road 47 and Pine St. The driver, Brady Albertson, 18, of Sauk Rapids, was cited for no proof of insurance and driving after suspension.

11:09 a.m. Officers responded to Oak St. and 13th St W. for an accident.

6:35 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of State St. for a parking violation. The owner of the vehicle, Timothy Andrews, 43, of Eagan was cited for repairing a vehicle on a city street.

8:06 p.m. Officers responded to the 30 block of 27th St. E. for a vehicle theft report. The matter is under investigation.

Accident Report August 29th Officers investigated a hit and run crash in the 1800 block of Forest St. An unknown subject caused about $250.00 in damage August 30th Officers responded to an accident at Oak St. and 13th St. W.

August 31st Officers responded to an accident involving a pickup and a skateboarder on 21st St. E. A juvenile male was transported to Regina for possible injuries.

September 1st Officers responded to the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. for a minor traffic accident. Parties exchanged information.

September 3rd 2:03 p.m. Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Vermillion St. and Red Wing Blvd. Officers cited Johnathan David Matrious, 19, of Hastings, for unsafe equipment.

September 5th 1:22 p.m. Officers were sent to the 1400 block of Vermillion St. for a hit and run accident. Officers investigated and lacked information for charges. Officers exchanged information with the drivers.
