The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce announced Hastings’ Kristy Barse as part
of its Leadership Minnesota Class of 2025-26 today. The select group of business leaders from across the state are helping shape Minnesota’s economic future.
“I’m honored to be participating in this program with so many talented leaders from across the state,” said Kristy Barse, President of the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau. “Leadership Minnesota is broadening my understanding of our state’s diverse economy and strengthening my connections with others who are helping move Minnesota forward.”
“We were thrilled to have Kristy take part in this year’s Leadership Minnesota class,” said Doug Loon, President and CEO of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. “The program gives participants an up-close look at the industries and communities that power our economy — and helps them bring that knowledge back to their workplaces and regions.”
Celebrating its 25th year, Leadership Minnesota gives participants a behind-the-scenes look at what powers Minnesota’s economy — from manufacturing and energy to technology, natural resources and public policy. Through immersive, statewide sessions, participants gain first-hand understanding of the challenges and opportunities that affect employers and communities alike.
The six-month program connects leaders with peers across industries, deepening their awareness of how decisions at the Capitol and in boardrooms alike shape the business climate. Sessions run from September 2025 through February 2026, each highlighting a key sector of Minnesota’s diverse economy
