Hastings High School celebrates Student-Athletes at Third Annual Raiders Sports Awards

Hastings High School capped another exceptional year in athletics with the third annual Raiders Sports Awards, a celebration honoring the dedication, achievements, and spirit of its student-athletes, coaches, and community members for the 2024 calendar year. Held on the school’s expansive 100-acre campus, the event reflected the district’s deep commitment to character, community, and competitive success. With over 1300 students and a long-standing tradition in the Minnesota State High School League, Hastings continues to shine across 29 varsity sports and several adapted athletic programs. The evening featured more than 100 student-athletes, numerous award categories, and a showcase of individual and team accomplishments that underscore the Raiders’ proud legacy.
This year’s program highlighted those who best embodied the core Raider values: integrity, work ethic, sportsmanship, personal growth, multi-sport participation, and fun. The awards ceremony included everything from record-breaking performances and state tournament appearances to academic achievements and college athletic commitments. The night opened with emcee Trent Hanson and featured a keynote from alumni speaker Erin Ditty Ahneman, setting the tone for a celebration of both history and potential.
Female three-sport athletes
Hastings continues to encourage well-rounded participation, and this year 24 female student-athletes were recognized for competing in three different varsity sports. These athletes balanced intense practice schedules, academic demands, and multiple seasons of competition. Their efforts embody the Raider values of work ethic and perseverance.
