The Hastings Industrial Park has landed a new tenant. Royal Pet Inc. of South St. Paul, a US manufacturer of pet and cat treats, is the proud new owner of the building formerly occupied by Twin City Container. Royal Pet Inc., a premium pet treat company is moving to a new, 70,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in order to meet the growing demand for quality “Made in the USA” dog and cat treats.
The new SQF certified building will feature stateof- the-art equipment that will further expand Royal Pet’s unique ability to blend, extrude, injection mold, assemble, package, and ship product all under one roof.
“Right now, we are spread out across 3 different warehouses and this new space will allow us to consolidate everything into one permanent home,” says Troy Petersen, CEO and founder. “Our overall capacity will double in size to ensure a guaranteed product supply for our increasing customer base and provide a solid foundation to continually innovate premium recipes that our customers have “come to know and love.”
The treat production will continue to uphold Royal Pet’s high standard of sanitation, cleanliness, and manufacturing excellence, with enhanced capabilities and capacity. The larger space with also accommodate Royal Pet’s hard goods side of the business, including toys, pet apparel, waste management solutions, and more. The new office space is directly connected to the treat facility and designed to encourage employee collaboration and team building in an effort to continue delivering innovative concepts and make it a fun and exciting place to work.
“New technology and investments lead to enhanced product quality, efficiency and capabilities, creating an accelerated speed-to-market solution which will benefit all our customers,” said Petersen. “This move represents another significant milestone for our company. The additional space will help drive innovation and provide the opportunity to further expand Royal Pet’s presence in the pet industry, markets, product lines, and future services.”
