Hastings Family Service is temporarily adjusting business hours to accommodate staffing shortages and transitions. Starting February 14th, Hastings Family Service will be available for services from 9am-4pm Monday – Friday and all services begin with a phone call to 651-437-7124. Rivertown Treasures and the HFS Donation Center will follow the same hours and will be open from 9am-4pm Tuesday – Friday, and will be closed on Saturdays through the end of March.
“Retirements and resignations have left us in a state of transition, but change creates opportunity,” said Amy Sutton, new Executive Director at HFS. All programs positions have been filled and the full team will be on board by March 1st. According to Sutton, Rivertown Treasures store manager Mary Kells spent 18 months working in the food shelf during the pandemic and will be transitioning to a Programs Coordinator position in the food shelf. HFS will also be welcoming Deana Denning and Amy Schaffer to the programs team starting March 1st. Sutton indicated the adjusted hours are necessary to insure HFS can continue to serve the needs of the community at the highest level.
