As things make their way closer to the norm, more and more opportunities to hear great concerts are presenting themselves and the Hastings Concert Association has to great ones in store. The HCA works with Allied Concert Services of Plymouth to book some pretty amazing concerts for their 45th season and return to the Hastings Middle School.
The interesting piece of this concert series is the cost. Most of these acts would be $25-$30 per concert. Until the end of July, the ticket package is $50 per person for all six concerts. August first, that goes up to $75 per person. That is $8.50 per concert, and if you cannot make all six, you can give or sell the tickets to someone else.
The concert series will start on October 8th with a platinum record artist from Europe, Tajci, who performs a cabaret style show. Tacji became a pop superstar in Croatia at the age of 19, achieved platinum record sales and earned a Levy’s endorsement. She has performed in many venues in NYC ‘off Broadway’, NYC cabaret stages, had an opening act at Madison Square Garden and so many more amazing credits to her name.
October 24th features Branden and James, a talented Duo that appeared on American Got Talent. A duo of a tenor vocalist and a cello sounds like an odd, yet interesting combination. Listening to the duos music shows the power of a strong voice mixes well with the string instrument well. Barron Ryan, pianist, comes to town on November 6th. Ryan’s tag line is “Classic Meets Cool” and his renditions of Ragtime, Classical and Boogie Woogie fit that description well.
David Shannon, Ireland’s Greatest Showman, jumps the pond to come to Hastings on January 30th, 2022. Shannon has performed in classic musicals, Le Miserables and Phantom of the Opera, Sweeny Todd and many more. Shannon performs hits from the likes of Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra, Elton John and mixes in show tunes during his performance.
An acapella group from Boston, Ball in the House is on the schedule for March 21 or 2022. Ball in the house features five guys, not the burger joint, singing R& B, Soul, and Pop hits for an 18+ show.
The final artist is Alex Meixner, a blend of swinging jazz, gypsy world beat and authentic European folk. This group will perform on April 18th, 2022.
Single tickets are also available for $20 each, but obviously the best deal is to get the season pass now for $50. Head to the web and search for Hastings Concert Association to find their social media page or order by sending a check to Hastings Concert Association 1521 Highland Drive, Hastings, MN 55033. Make sure to include your name, address, phone number and email so they can contact you and get you the tickets in September of 2021.
