On Thursday, Sept. 12, Coborn’s donated $2,457 to the Hastings High School as part of their annual raiders’ merchandise sales at the store.
The longtime fundraiser at the store donates $1 per piece of merchandise sold at the Hastings Coburns, this year totaling nearly $2,500. The program has expanded since last year as awareness of the donation has spread throughout the community. The dual-pronged fundraiser not only supports high school athletics with every sale but showcases community support with custom-made, Hastings-specific merchandise for sale in the store.
Coburns across the state partners with local schools to raise funds through merchandise sales, but “we are the number one—by far—the number store in the entire company that has this program at this size,” said Hastings Store Director Zachary Kos. In 2024 the Hastings Coburns donated more than double the amount of the next highest donating store in the company.
The Hastings Coburns has long prided itself on its support of local teams including custom orders and little carried sizes like baby clothes for future raiders and hawks.
“We are just excited to be a part of it and be able to give that back to the community every year,” said Kos.
