The regular season for golf has concluded. The Hastings girls went out with a win over Two Rivers at Hidden Greens, 169187, and the boys won their tri, 158170170, over HillMurray and Tartan.
For the girls, Lauren Hubbart shot a 40, Megan Brown a 41, Maddy Daley a 42, Ashlyn Endres a 46 to round out the four on the team scores. Lauren Skov finished with a 52 and Emma Langenfeld a 53. Sadly for the Raiders, all six of the varsity players are seniors this year, and they will be missed. The good news is there are a lot of very talented players behind them, ready to make the jump next year.
At Hastings Golf Club, helping the boys win was Charlie Williams shooting a one under 35. Martin Onnen was not far behind at 39 and both Ryan Swanson and Jon Harris shot a 42 to round out the team scoring. Luke Savage and Jake Harris each finished with a 43.
Both section tournaments take place Tuesday, May 24. We’ll be sure to get you a recap in next weeks edition of the Journal.
