The Hastings Raiders opened the season with a big win over Farmington at home on August 20. The girls played well against the Tigers and the number three doubles team fought through a long third set to aid in the Raiders Victory.

On Saturday, August 24, the girls played host to a multi-team invitational where Mother Nature was trying to mess with them all morning. A hard downpour of rain delayed the matches for several hours while players and coaches scrambled to get the court surfaces dry and safe. One of the Cottage Grove coaches ran back to their courts to get their drying squeegees to help dry things off faster.

Once play resumed, Hastings fought hard but ultimately fell against all three teams.

The Raiders will have a chance to right the ship when they host Visitation on August 27 at 4:00 p.m. They then head to Roseville for another quad invite that starts at 10:00 a.m. on August 28. They are then off until Sep. 3 when they travel to Rochester Century for a 4:30 p.m. match.
