The Raiders Girls Hockey team has the first game of the 2023-24 winter sports season. They will host Red Wing on Saturday, November 11 at 3:00 p.m. at the Hastings Civic Arena. The youth hockey association is partnering with the high school to make this a celebratory day for all of girls’ hockey similar to Softball Day in the spring.

There will be games and giveaways throughout the day, the learn to skate groups for the littlest Raiders, U6 and U8 teams will have their first practices. From 11 a.m. to noon there will be a meet and greet and autograph/photo session with the JV and Varsity girls. There will be an all-girls hockey picture at 1:05 p.m. where every girl in Hastings Hockey is invited to join in on the picture.

Other activities include: 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. girls locker room tours, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. fans can make their own sign for the varsity game. After the all-girls picture, the youngest three groups will take the ice from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. for races and games. All of the older teams are encouraged to cheer this group on to welcome them to the Hastings Hockey Family.

For the Varsity game at 3:00 p.m. Younger level players are encouraged to wear their jerseys for free admission to the game.
