The Confluence Deck in Hastings with Parking under the 61 Bridge or The Clock Tower in Prescott Wi at 23 Broad Street Join us for the inaugural Eagle Watch Bike Tour, a family friendly bike event on the Point Douglas Trail! The Point Douglas Trail is a unique biking trail along the Mississippi River that connects Hastings, MN and Prescott, WI. Enjoy biking this 5.5 mile trail (11 miles round trip), spotting eagles and exploring two historic downtowns on Saturday, May 8th!

Here is what you need to know. There are trail options for all skill levels. Check out the bike map HERE to decide what trail you would like to explore. Keep an eye out for the eagle nests! Register for one of four time slots from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

On the day of the event, check in at either the Prescott, WI location or the Hastings, MN location. Both starting points will have local organizations who can provide additional information about the area and its natural habitat.

This event is hosted by The Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce & The Prescott Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Carpenter Nature Center, The City of Hastings and Great River Road Visitors and Learning Center at Freedom Park.

Memory Café – Hastings Coffee Club Hastings Senior Center – 310 River Street Join us for this monthly Memory Cafe gathering right here in Hastings at Tilden Community and Senior Center, room 108. This is an initiative of DARTS Aging and Caregiving Resources and is a safe place to enjoy conversation for those going through memory changes and their friends. The focus is social support and conversation. There are volunteers, resource staff and free coffee available, too. Memory Cafe happens the second Tuesday of every month from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.

Historic Hastings Car Show RETURNS to downtown Hastings!

Hastings is excited to bring back CAR SHOWS in 2021! Join us on 2nd Street in downtown Hastings the 3rd Sunday of every month May through September from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.. This historic main street boarding the Mississippi River fills with classic cars, piped in music and great food. If you have questions on showing your car at this event, contact the Hastings Chamber of Commerce at 651.437.6775 or Hastings Downtown Business Association at 651.437.8982. Cost to attend and show a car is free.

The show is limited to classic cars & trucks 25 years or older. (No motorcycles at this time) Tuesday May 18th 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Friday May 28th 8:00 a.m. – Noon Bird banding Carpenter St. Croix Nature Center Have you ever wondered what bird banding is all about? Bird Banding records can help us learn how long birds live, where they travel, when and where they migrate and many other interesting facts. Carpenter Nature Center has been banding birds for over 30 years. On the fourth Friday of the month bird banding is open to the public. There is no program fee, but donations of Bird Seed and Suet are greatly appreciated. RSVP appreciated.
