An upcoming class will provide nitrogen information to farmers ahead of the 2024 growing season.
Dakota County is partnering with University of Minnesota Extension to offer a free, one-day class called “Advanced Nitrogen Smart Training: A Deep Drive into the 4 Rs.” Participants will learn about nitrogen use guidelines that balance crop productivity with environmental preservation.
The class will be Friday, March 1 from 9 a.m.–noon at the Dakota County Extension and Conservation Center, 4100 220th St. W., Farmington.
Class participants can earn three continuing education credits — two for nutrient management and one for soil and water. For course details, visit www.extension.umn.edu, search nitrogen smart.
