Help Hastings Police Department sound the siren! Hastings Police Department is partnering with United Way of Hastings, Food 4 Kids and Dakota County Sheriff’s Office in a healthy food drive competition, with all food being redistributed within the Hastings community to school aged children. Yellow plastic bins have been placed in the City Hall and the Police Department’s entry ways with the end goal of filling an entire squad car with donations. Once the squad car is full, we’ll sound the siren!!! You’ll have to hurry though, donations will be accepted June 2nd – June 16th.
The following are suggested donated items:
• Canned ravioloi/ soups/chili
• Mac & cheese cups
• Fruit snack/granola bars
• Cereal/oatmeal
• Juice/hot chocolate
• Healthy snacks
• Any kid-friendly, single serving non-perishable food items
